The user preferences for new energy motorcycles in Taiwan

Abstract

This study investigates and models users' preferences among internal combustion engine motorcycles, electric motorcycles and potential hydrogen fuel cell motorcycles in Taiwan. The stated preference analysis method and the orthogonal array technique were employed to design the questionnaire for surveying the user preferences. A multinomial logit model was developed to model the choice behavior and to probe the factors affecting the choices. The results of this study are of great help to the policy making for promoting new energy motorcycles.
