It is very difficult to manually keep track of all the vehicles and keep them in check. Due to human limitations, intelligent and smart monitoring has become a topic of discussion. For every vehicle to be acknowledged, number-plate detection is very necessary. However, many vehicles in a single image and varying lighting conditions present challenges to automatic number-plat recognition systems. Varying shapes and sizes of characters on number-plate presents additional difficulties in Indian context. To address these issues, this work proposes to employ inception version 3 (v3) model for classification of number plates form input images. The study then proposes to employ single shot detection (SSD), which is one of the best available architecture to detect multiple objects at once, resulting in faster and more accurate detection. At a later stage, each character in the number plate is recognized by Tesseract optical character recognition (OCR) engine. The experimental results presented in the study validates the effectiveness of the proposed work.","PeriodicalId":167849,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130534426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Spectral unmixing is directly involved in image sub-pixel classification, answering the spectral mixing problem. The present study emphasizes the importance of unmixing spectral features from remotely sensed hyperspectral scenes to classify land features. The high spectral and moderate spatial resolution Jupiter Ridge AVIRIS hyperspectral image was used to test the endmember, unmixing and classification algorithms. The study has been done by atmospheric correction, dimensionality reduction, endmember extraction, spectral unmixing, and classification. The results show that the implemented methodology has provided four endmembers to unmix the image and abundances maps and Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM) based classification with 94.19% accuracy. It was shown that improved unmixing methods are vital to tackle spectral variability to obtain accurate abundances estimations. The present research can be helpful in the development of new unmixing algorithms.","PeriodicalId":167849,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121292827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this project analyzes the operation and nature of a distributed network by connecting renewable sources like wind, solar, PV and connecting charging stations in PSCAD. The potential of the plug electric parking lots as an energy storage in power system with small wind and solar has been investigated. The results demonstrate the Performance of Plug in Electric Vehicle Charging when connected to the Distribution System. In addition to this work, Maximum Power Point Tracker is also simulated in MATLAB 2014b to increase the output power and efficiency in Photo Voltaic Energy Conversion Systems. The graph shows the intensity of the voltage increases and reaches maximum in the noon and then again decreases. The voltage tracked from MPPT can be stored and used at the time of emergency or during power failures.","PeriodicalId":167849,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121418767","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The solar power available varies from minimum to maximum during the day. It is known that the solar insolation pattern is such that about 60 percent or more power is available for only 50 percent operating duration. For best performance of solar pumping system, the motor must exhibit very good efficiency for wide operating speed range. For 4 pole motor the operating speed range is 1200 to 2850 rpm. Efficiency of 5 HP, 4 pole Induction motor used in cost effective solar water pump is reported as 83 percent maximum at rated condition and drops to 74 percent when speed drops to minimum operating value. Drastic reduction in efficiency limits the pumping capacity and increases the motor temperature. A 5 HP BLDC motor is having efficiency about 92 percent under rated condition and remains above 89 percent for minimum operating speed. This makes BLDC motor attractive option for solar pumping system. A 5 HP, 4 pole BLDC motor is designed and integrated in surface type solar water pump and tested with standard solar panel. Comparative study is conducted with standard Induction motor based solar pump and results are presented. Finally, BLDC solar pump is qualified by testing at Government accredited laboratory.","PeriodicalId":167849,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124041986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It displays ownership claims on firms, such as securities traded on a public stock exchange and privately traded equities. These private company shares are then sold to investors via equity crowdfunding platforms. The future movement of the stocks can be predicted by analyzing the trend based on past and current data. Without delving extensively into the basic reasons of a particular currency, technical analysis makes it simple to grasp the market's sentiments (psychology) and predict prices. By analysing share market trends, we may try to predict if a market sector that is currently growing will continue to grow in the future, or whether a market trend in one sector will start a trend in another, and so on. A lot of data is involved in the process of share market trend analysis and most technical analysts use combinations of tools such as random forest, adaboost classifier, gradient boosting, neural network, xgboost etc. to recognize the trade's potential entry and exit points. Technical analysis is frequently utilised by forex, equities, and commodities traders to determine market patterns in the short and long term. The use of technical analysis in stock market prediction is growing by the day, as more people strive to gain technical analysis abilities in order to make big money.","PeriodicalId":167849,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124688660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the past one and half year as of May - 2021, the world balance and the economics have changed. Entire workflow has been shifted online, with people continuing to face a lot of difficulties due to this sudden change. But there will be a moment when normalcy will be restored, businesses bereopened and all the offices as well as other institutions start functioning as normal. This will be the most vulnerable moment as people will come in contact with each other and hence there will be a danger of this disease spreading in mass again. Hence, a system needs to be adopted to curb its spread and this can be achieved by identifying people showing the symptoms and thereby preventing them from entering organizations with a lot of attendees. The proposed system implements mask and temperature detection, sanitation while also providing a touch-less Attendance Management system for taking the attendance.","PeriodicalId":167849,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122356439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we examine a UAV assisted satellite terrestrial communication system which consists of satellite (S), mobile terrestrial receivers (D) and a stationary UAV (R). Specifically, considering the relative velocity and the random position of receivers, we analyse the R-D link for evaluation of the instantaneous SNR considering the error estimation of channel gain and noise, using first order auto-regressive process. Moreover, the expression for coverage probability is derived and analysed. Finally the derived numerical results are verified using Monte Carlo simulations.","PeriodicalId":167849,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130618384","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
