A Case Study on the Performance of MPPT and Plug in Interconnected EV Charging Connected to University Power Distribution System
The main aim of the project is to analyze the Performance of the Electric Vehicle Charging when connected with the University Power Distribution System. Therefore, this project analyzes the operation and nature of a distributed network by connecting renewable sources like wind, solar, PV and connecting charging stations in PSCAD. The potential of the plug electric parking lots as an energy storage in power system with small wind and solar has been investigated. The results demonstrate the Performance of Plug in Electric Vehicle Charging when connected to the Distribution System. In addition to this work, Maximum Power Point Tracker is also simulated in MATLAB 2014b to increase the output power and efficiency in Photo Voltaic Energy Conversion Systems. The graph shows the intensity of the voltage increases and reaches maximum in the noon and then again decreases. The voltage tracked from MPPT can be stored and used at the time of emergency or during power failures.
