The main attention is paid to the study of plasmon-polariton resonances on the metasurfaces of the grating and to the elucidation of their role in the phenomena of total reflection and transmission of the wave for the E-polarized field. The offered design of the antenna allows creating an interferential electromagnetic field of a bipolar pulse in an equivalent general antenna aperture. A quantitative and quality evaluation of efficiency of proposed antenna design is performed. It is shown that an application of the given antenna allows increasing the damaging range from acting the pulsed UWB signals.","PeriodicalId":167305,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals (UWBUSIS)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114858783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Being a unique ultra-wideband natural process, the gravitational waves were appeared to be fractal one too. Their fractal structure is described by the set of numerical characteristics based on estimation of different fractal dimensions. The results obtained are widely discussed.","PeriodicalId":167305,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals (UWBUSIS)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132174967","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These investigations may be divided in three groups: studies carried out on cell cultures, studies on animal models and case reports describing applications of pulsed electric fields for treatment of cancer patients. Very important is to chose adequate methods of measuring the cell damage and speaking more generally - cell response to stress. In Kharkov University various investigations in the area of cell response to electromagnetic influences were carried out and some new methods were proposed. In this paper the analysis of recent works in this area is done and perspectives of the research are discussed.","PeriodicalId":167305,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals (UWBUSIS)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122065841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The measured two-way times-of-flight for the reflected probing signals (from the radiator to the object and back to the four receivers) are used to calculate the (x, y, z) coordinates of the reflecting object. For cases where several reflected times-of-flight (due e.g. to reflections from the vehicle or other noise) are recorded, criteria enabling selection of unique coordinates that correspond to the true target have been determined and verified.","PeriodicalId":167305,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals (UWBUSIS)","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122327650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An example of this is data such as surface currents or fields in a volume. As the degrees of freedom in the data increases, the ability of the user to visually assess any comparisons diminishes. The FSV (Feature Selective Validation) method, a Reliability-Function like heuristic is described.
