Based on radial-basis function (RBF) neural network, this paper proposed a spectrum prediction algorithm with K-means clustering algorithm (K-RBF). This algorithm could predict the spectrum holes according to the historical information of the licensed user's spectrum. It not only increases the veracity of spectrum sensing, but also improves the efficiency of spectrum sensing. They offer: a satisfactory bandwidth, mobility, easy deployment in difficult areas, long-term savings and the speed more and more higher. However, they also have some disadvantages in regard to security, performances during re-authentication, execution of real-time applications and interference from other electromagnetic sources (Bluetooth, microwave, etc.). The existing solutions to reduce delays of Handover intercellular are specific solutions to a particular network or manufacturer of this technology. The main objective of this paper is to propose novel mechanisms based on digital signatures to obtain low latency re-authentication during Handover in Wireless Access Networks. Our infrastructure will be based on trusted relationship between the heterogeneous access points and the authentication servers, in order to allow the mobility anytime anywhere to any user, and the ubiquitous access to the Future Internet, while ensuring the right level of security to both the end users as well to the wireless networks. In this context, the main issues are to resolve the seamless Handover and the re-authentication during mobility of station. By using a signed token in our trusted infrastructure, we achieve a unique authentication and a fast re-authentication. In particular, this paper is focused in three typical active safety applications which are based on the cooperation among vehicles and intelligent elements placed on the road. The reliability of these applications relies on the performance of the radio link among the agents involved in the cooperative scenario, so first we analyze the goodput, Package Delivery Rate (PDR) and delay of this link. Once the behavior of the media is characterized, the kindness of the safety applications is studied. In this paper, we analyze the interference in heterogeneous wireless networks and determine the capacity by taking into consideration the class of traffic of each call and considering both intra-network interference and inter-network interference. In these networks it is possible to transmit MAC level frames, denoted MAC PDUs, such that a PDU contains an integral number of fixed size Data Blocks. PDUs are transmitted over PHY Bursts, which are divided into FEC Blocks. We suggest an algorithm that computes the best way to define PDUs in a Burst in order to maximize the Burst Goodput. However, the use of virtualization techniques in wireless mesh networks has thus far not been adequately studied. In this paper we describe ViMeNO: a Virtual wireless Mesh Network architecture for Operators, i.e., the first virtualization-enabled wireless mesh network architecture designed for operators. In the proposed architecture, virtualization is used to divide the mesh resources governed by a single mesh network operator among multiple virtual network operators. The advantage of this outsourcing approach is that each virtual network operator can focus on providing a service to its end-users, leaving the network administration to the mesh network operator. In such environments, the performance of an application that runs on client devices and receives items from the broadcast channel is affected by both the number of these items and the pattern via which these are demanded by the application. The novelty of the proposed approach lies in the fact that, irrespective of the above parameters, all applications run by the client will receive a fair allocation of bandwidth and thus will enjoy the same performance. Using logical connections between areas in the building, users are able to follow a path via step-by-step instructions. This approach provides universally applicable navigation to complex buildings. However landmark-based indoor navigation requires a solid and reliable data structure which depicts regarded buildings. In this paper we present a tool for construction of such data structure. Using findings from prior experiments and well-established design principles and patterns, we were able to significantly improve the usability of the tool and lower the cognitive load of the user. By using the proposed radar system, we construct UWB radar signal database by considering two movements and four moving directions of human and dog. The proposed classifier is based on nonlinear support vector machine (SVM) using RBF kernel and use linear predictive code (LPC) coefficients as feature vector. By evaluating performance of the proposed decision tree structures, we obtain the best classification results when the first level SVM classifies type of movement and then the second level SVM classifies moving object. The correct classification probability ranges from 93% up to 97%. The IEEE 802.11s Standard defines the procedures that wireless nodes follow in order to interconnect and create a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) mesh network. It, also, defines the routing protocol and the metric that are used by a IEEE 802.11s mesh network to route data. However, although the energy consumption of mesh nodes is a crucial parameter for the network's lifetime in specific purpose operations (e.g. military and health) the default metric proposed by the standard doesn't take into account the energy of the nodes. In this paper, a new energy - aware routing metric for the IEEE 802.11s mesh networks has been implemented.
