Every year the obstacle that causes farmers is it is difficult to procure quality soybean seeds and access certified seed stocks in captivity. In this condition, there needs to be a solution to support the use of quality seeds and the ease of purchasing superior/quality seeds by farmers independently and sustainably. Biorational pesticides can be an alternative to controlling the disease. Bacillus firmus, Burkholderia sp, and Serratia marcescens against bacterial leaf blight on rice plants in the field. The study was conducted in Maret-Juni 2014 in the land of the Independent Farmers Group, Cipeuyeum Village, Haurwangi District, Cianjur Regency, West Java. The design uses a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consist of: 1) Mekongga + biorational, 2) Inpari 14 + biorational, 3) Sintanur + biorasional, 4) Mekongga + without biorational, 5) Inpari 14 + without biorational, and 6) Sintanur + without biorational. The results of the study showed that the application of biorational pesticides can reduce the intensity of bacterial leaf blight disease. Minarni, Puty Andini","doi":"10.30595/pspfs.v2i.194","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30595/pspfs.v2i.194","url":null,"abstract":"This research aims to determine the effect of the secondary metabolites of the fungi Simplicillium sp. on mortality, larval feeding capacity, larval growth, percentage of pupae and imagos, fecundity and fertility, secondary metabolites of the fungi Simplicillium sp. which effectively kills Spodoptera frugiperda. This research was conducted in the Plant Protection Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto from October 2020 until January 2021. The method used in this research was a factorial randomized block (RBD) with two factors. The first factor is the concentration of secondary metabolite of the fungi Simplicillium sp. consisting of control (K0), 10% concentration (K1), 20% concentration (K2), 30% concentration (K3); and a synthetic insecticide with an active ingredient Emmamectin benzoate and Lufenuron 1 ml/l (K4). The second factor is the application method which consists of the spraying method on the larvae (A1) and the feed immersion method (A2). The observed parameters were mortality, feeding capacity, growth time, percentage of pupae and imagos formed, fecundity and fertility, and effective concentration. Clover is a year-round plant. In the long dry season, it is very risky to die. With intensive watering treatment and organic fertilizer, it is expected to grow better and produce very high yields. A demonstration plot of clover land would provide innovation in optimal and eco-friendly clover cultivation. The method of activities in this training included lectures on understanding clover cultivation in dry land and how to provide the right fertilizer for clover. Preparation for Implementation, Preparation of Business Places, Demonstration of clover cultivation in dry land required a plot of land available with complete facilities. The tools needed were provided in the right amount so that the demonstration plot process was not complicated. The commodity is used as a householdfood necessity and a pharmaceutical raw material, although productivity and price often fluctuate.   This study aims to (1) Counting the cost and receipt of red chili farming in Mendalo Indah village Jambi district outside the city of Muaro Jambi. (2)  Analyzing the large income of red chili farming in Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi District Outside Muaro Jambi Regency. This study used primary data of as many as 50 red chili farmers who were taken deliberately (purposive), considering that only Mendalo Indah Village was conducting sustainable red chili farming activities in the Jambi district outside the city. The method of population retrieval used in this study is by census method. The data analysis method used quantitative analysis.  Based on the results of the research obtained that the average total cash cost is Rp 16,905,304/farmer/MT and Rp 23,359,273/ha/MT and the unpaid fee (taken into account) is Rp 8,255,687/farmer/MT and Rp 12,322,293/ ha/MT. The average revenue obtained by farmers is Rp 98,071,560/farmer/MT and Rp.146,294,776/ha/MT. so that the average income amounted to Rp 81,166,256/ farmer/MT and Rp 121,143,605/ha/MT. Morotai Island is one of the government's target locations in initiating the Export-Oriented Food Storage program in the Border Region. This study aimed to determined the prospects for the development of upland rice to support food barns in the border region of Morotai Island. The method used is descriptive analysis, measuring the growth rate of rice based on the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), and measuring the feasibility of farming using income analysis, R/C ratio, and break-even point analysis. The results showed that the increase in the growth rate of harvested area and upland rice production was 25,75 percent with a contribution of 42,81 percent and 31,65 percent, recpectively, of the harvested area and rice production on Morotai Island in the 2011 to 2017 period. Upland rice farming has an R/C ratio of 1.72 which indicated that this farming is feasible. The potential and opportunities for upland rice development to support food barns on Morotai Island are still very prospective. The development of upland rice can be pursued through intensification and extensification of agriculture with the application of cultivation technology, the use of new high yield varieties, increasing the cropping index, and sustainable soil and water conservation efforts. Endophytic fungi in chili have been tested as both biocontrol agents and growth promoters, but their colonization has not been reported. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the level of colonization of endophytic fungi and its effect on the growth of chili seedlings. A total of 8 endophytic fungi were prepared at a density of 2.8 × 106 CFU mL-1. Then the endophytic fungus was inoculated 2 times, first by soaking the seeds, and secondly by watering the endophytic fungus suspension on chili seedlings aged 3 weeks after sowing. Endophytic fungi were re-isolated on chili seedlings that were 4 weeks old after sowing on the roots and stems to determine their colonization ability. Chili seeds were then maintained for up to 4 weeks after transplanting to observe their growth. The results showed that the endophytic fungal colonization ranged from 26-60% on the chili root, while at the base of the stem it was 20-40% with a different pattern of colonization distribution.
