Meanwhile, research shows a high demand for preventive measures in this group. The current article presents the assumptions of the pioneering preventive program “My life, my choice”, addressed to young people with intellectual disabilities and discussion of the results of its evaluation. The analysis focuses in particular on the effectiveness of the actions taken and the perception of individual elements of the program by the recipients. The collected data indicate a significan effectiveness of the program in four of the five areas, as well as the importance of selective preventive interactions.\u0000\u0000

Directors of centres from eight voivodships took part in the study, giving opinions on the situation of pupils, including the reasons for changing the institution. The presented analyses enable the identification of categories of pupil behaviour defined in the literature as resistance to school. This study is located in the paradigm of critical pedagogy, as well as critical emancipation, which allows the recognition of elements, phenomena and activities that impede the proper functioning of pupils in the school environment.\u0000\u0000

Achondroplasia is a genetically determined disease caused by a mutation in the gene encoding the FGFR3 receptor. We have attempted to describe the biological causes of achondroplasia, addressing those issues in human biology that are necessary to understand the reasons for short stature. We also describe the chances and mechanisms of inheriting this disease. In addition, the description of the structure of a small child and his or her physical abilities which is included in the article will be helpful for the parents and in educational institutions. The children can function well in pre-school and school environments, as there are no indications for individual teaching. However, they may struggle with social and emotional difficulties, as short stature may cause problems with self-esteem, and may also be a barrier in building peer relationships. A holistic view of a child affected by achondroplasia is important to honestly support their development and education.\u0000\u0000

In my speech I would like to review opinions on possibile attempts to relate brain research results to school conditions as well as teaching and learning concepts. The following concepts will be analyzed: neurodidactics, neuropedagogy and neuroeducation. I will also present my proposition of under standing neuroeducation as anactivity focused on:\u00001) development of cognitive processes of learners and awareness of the existence of these processes;\u00002) education of learning process management,\u00003) getting to know and better understanding of the learning process through the prism of functioning: brain, mind and education.\u0000Neuroeducation understood in this way is, in my opinion, a chance for a new perspective of in sight into learning processes and, in the longer term, teaching. It can therefore be addressed to pupils and students, but also to teachers. Newer, person-environment models of disability, which emphasize the fit between the person’s capacities and the demands of the environment, have paved the way for strengths-based approaches to disability and a focus on supports and self-determination. The application of school¬wide approaches, such as multi-tiered systems of supports, universal design for learning, the use of technology, and promoting self-determination are all educational interventions that adopt these person-environment support models. If the field is to achieve the principles stated in Article 24 of the CRPD pertaining to the “full development of human potential and sense of dignity and self-worth, and the strengthening of respect for human rights, fundamental freedoms and human diversity,” we as a system must adopt and expand these strengths-based approaches.\u0000\u0000

It is divided into two main parts. The first one presents the views and results of research on the role of fantasy arising from the cognitive-behavioral tradition, while the second one presents the views presented by psychoanalysts. Efforts have been made to show that there are many convergences between these two ways of interpreting the impact of fantasy on skew and sexual offenses.\u0000In addition, the article emphasizes the fundamental importance of the regularities discussed in the textforan effective therapy. Therefore, it is worth asking, what does it mean to experience different stages of the process of accepting one's disability in a society. The research sample consisted of 75 people with physical disabilities. The data was collected using a questionnaire and the Adjective Check List (ACL) by H.B. Gough, A.B. Heilbrun. The first part of this article aims to determine what difficulties are involved in experiencing a disability. Subsequently, the data is presented regarding the perception of the disabled people of: non-disabled people, people with physical disabilities and people with a different type of disability.
