It remains interesting up until now, not only because of a thread of mystery, but also from the strictly scientific point of view and in order to get closer to the understanding the phenomenon of human being. The issue of sleep inpeople who were born blind seems equally significant and fascinating,. Therefore, the article presents the dilemma of sleep both from a general perspective and alsoin the context of dreams of people who were born blind. Four adults (two women and two men) experiencing the consequences of being blindfrom birth took part in the study.

However, at the end of the twentieth century, positive psychology was officially formed. It focuses on the positive sides of psycho-social human functioning. The science of happiness and human strength captures the problems of rehabilitation in terms of systemic theories; more specifically, in the context of a self-organizing system (autopoietic). In the process of maintaining the self-organization of a system, movement and speech have a special role. This has clear implications for rehabilitation, including therapies aimed at posttraumatic growth. Emphasized by positive psychology, the potential of human resilience e.g., self-determination, has made it possible to supplement the traditional approach to rehabilitation by supporting beneficial processes and positive aspects of psycho-social development and functioning of people with disabilities.\u0000\u0000

In this article, Iattempt to present an existing parallel between a body crisis caused by the loss of its full capacity and a crisis on the identity level. At the same time, I try to highlight that acquiring a body dysfunction contributes to changes in self-perception, leading to the disorganization of the existential order and a destabilization of an individual’s self-definition. Therefore, the text will include an analysis of the objective determinants of a person’s own body perception in the categories of inadequacy as well as its social consequences. In this article, I adopt symbolic interactionism and Goffman’s stigmatization theory as cognitive perspectives, rooted in the interpretative paradigm. The above-mentioned theoretical references, constitute the foundation of this paper.. The research material adopted in this work is composed of personal experiences from people who lost physical abilities due to various random events. Unstructured interviews were conducted with members of this group of people. The data used in the analysis came from the European Social Survey 2002–2016. The basis of the analysis was the assumption that generalized trust is a reflection of a certain cultural pattern affecting all of society, which is built on the assessment regarding the quality of the functioning of the state and its institutions. This assessment showed differences not only between individual countries, but also indiacated a distance that separates disabled people from the rest of society. Comparison of results from several countries differing in social and economic development showed coherent and universal dependency patterns. Firstly, countries characterized by a higher level of development showed a higher level of trust in the whole society including people with disabilities. Secondly, regardless of differences in the level of development amongst individual countries, the differences in the level of trust between the general public and of people with disabilities were similar. Thirdly, in most of the countries surveyed, disability at the individual level was not a determinant to the assessment of generalized trust if an influence of sociodemographic characteristics and social order assessment were controlled for.

Based on the\u0000literature of the subject, a general analysis of problems that may occur in this area in relation to\u0000physical (motor and sensory) and intellectual disability has been made.. Issues such as; the biological\u0000basis of fertility, the course of menstruation, pregnancy and childbirth, the process of sexual\u0000reactions, contraception, menopause, as well as participation in examinations are discussed. The authors also point to difficulties and disorders, explaining their possible, mostly biological, causes. The article also analyzes experiences of women with various disabilities related to the access and quality of health services in the field of reproductive health. A special source of such experiences, obtained in the course of numerous explorations, is the relationship with specialists. Significant categories of experiences were selected and illustrated as a result of review analysis. At the end\u0000of the work referring to the postulates formulated by women, general practical implications have been presented, which are important for the quality of meeting health needs of people with disability.\u0000\u0000

This relationship impacts significantly the patient’s therapeutic process. In case of children and adolescents suffering from cancer, the relationship with physician is of a specific value due to both the age of such patients and the type of disease. Children and adolescents meet various specialists (physicians) during their treatment; however, they establish\u0000a long-term and quite intensive relationship with their treating physician. This relationship is, by definition, most important during intensive and maintenance therapy. The physician’s involvement is indisputable and it is directly related to the therapeutic process and its success. However, what is also extremely important is the physician’s interest in a particular patient and a personalized nature of this relationship: treating physician (subject) – child (subject). The manner in which the physician communicates with and treats his or her patient has a significant impact on the patient’s\u0000wellbeing during treatment and afterwards. The relationship with a physician also determines the patient’s subjectivity and self-esteem in later everyday life. The paper presents the results of research focused on the opinions of children and adolescents concerning relationships with their treating physicians. The study was conducted in three institutions\u0000which belong to the Polish Paediatric Leukaemia and Lymphoma Study Group. It involved 62 children aged 7–17 years old at different stages of their cancer treatment.\u0000\u0000

The work covers the period of approximately last 80 years. Four distinct group of mathematicians had received their education and pursed their scientific careers at that time: late, distinguished professors of mathematics, distinguished professors of mathematics who are still alive, PhD students and doctors of mathematical faculties, laureates of mathematical olympiads. \u0000The author’s intention was to indicate milestones – key events and moments in their history determined by the author (or those indicated by the interested) to reach the highest position and recognition in the field of mathematics. Those are, for example, important experiences in a person’s life that played a huge role in choosing mathematics as a direction for further development or reasserted that mathematics is the right choice. The considerations were based on a holistic, humanistic approach and a biographical approach from the perspective of Charlotte Bühler The course of human life. The techniques that have been used include document analysis and narrative interviews. Initiatives have been made undertaken in Europe in order to increase the number of university students and graduates from higher education institutions. Each country emphasizes different aspects of the problem. However, it is common to stress the need for the higher number of university students from “non-traditional” environments, and from the standpoint of both European and world universalism, the environment of the deaf should be considered as such. Study aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate adjustments made at universities to aid the educational process of people with hearing impairments in comparison to adjustments introduced for other forms of disability. The study was based on a diagnostic survey. The exclusion criterion concerned only the universities that did not agree to participate and/or had never educated students with disabilities. \u0000The results of the study did not support the research thesis showing that the profile of a university is a significant factor of choice for people with hearing impairments. It was demonstrated that the number of deaf university students is decreasing with time despite statutory deregulation which involved a removal of certain legal barriers. The amendment to the Higher Education Act eliminated legal barriers, but the universities are challenged with the implementation of the regulations in the academic practice.\u0000\u0000
