At the same time, it is necessary to support self-help groups, which above all motivate to face new challenges. \nThe aim of this article is to attempt to show what role support groups play in the lives of adults with intellectual disability. The obtained data in the focus interviews show that people with various difficulties need the presence of other people with similar experiences.
