Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) is an organic-inorganic (RSiO1.5)8 hybrid material that consists of a –Si-O- inorganic core surrounded by tunable organic moieties. POSS is a highly symmetrical, cage-like structure, possible to add functional groups, both organic and inorganic in precision. POSS has been synthesized and characterized using FT-IR, 1H NMR, EDAX, SEM, and TEM. It has been developed along with the thiol end group and paves a space for cross-linked nanostructures formationPOSS-SH. Voids and spaces in the POSS cross-linked nanocarrier give enough space for drug loading up to 50 weight percentages. Here the therapy is done with the help of drug delivery application in an acidic medium found in the cancer cell site and acts as an internal trigger for drug releasefrom POSS. T h e Presence of thiol end terminal has a greater affinity for attachment of gold which in turn provides an add-on application of photo dynamic therapy this combination is gold POSS- SH-Au. Cell viability studies proved that the POSS nanostructures are biocompatible. Thedeveloped POSS nanostructures can even be activated at acidic conditions, used for sustained release of drugs at specific targets, and provide in-vivo stability until they reache the tumor site. ThePOSS-SH-Au resulted an improvement in aqueous stability as its chains have the tendency to wraparound the siloxane cage and prevent the water from getting close to the siloxane frameworks. This study underscores the significance of their interventions in elevating patient safety and reducing adverse drug events. Medication errors in the ED often stem from factors such as time constraints, incomplete patient information, and complex drug regimens. Clinical pharmacists address these challenges by conducting comprehensive medication reconciliation, assessing drug interactions, and adjusting dosages to align with each patient's specific requirements. Their presence in EDs facilitates real-time verification of medication orders, immediate correction of errors, and close collaboration with the healthcare team. Furthermore, clinical pharmacists provide invaluable drug information and education to patients and medical staff, thereby lowering the risk of inappropriate drug usage and promoting safer administration practices. Existing literature affirms that clinical pharmacist interventions in EDs lead to a notable reduction in medication errors, adverse drug events, and subsequent healthcare costs. In summary, the integration of clinical pharmacists in the ED is indispensable for augmenting patient safety, averting medication errors, and ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. Globally, influenza epidemics cause 3–5 million cases of severe illness and result in a quarter million deaths each year. Despite Saudi Arabia tropical climate, influenza and a significant number of hospitalization's. Influenza vaccination has been shown to reduce influenza‑related hospitalizations and deaths. Patients with an influenza infection are at increased risk of severe illness and complications and have a higher mortality and morbidity rate. Despite the significant role of influenza vaccination in preventing and minimizing the serious complications of influenza infection in elderly patient's. Aim of the study: Assessment the awareness of the elderly patient's knowledge and attitudes among influenza vaccination in kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2023. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted among 300 participants from health care centers in Makkah Al-Mokarramah city. A validated self-administered questionnaire was used. It includes questions on socio demographic variables, knowledge, attitude, and vaccine response, during the August to September 2023. Results: shows the majority of participant (47.0%) have average of the knowledge towards influenza vaccination followed by (35.0%) of participant high while Range(2-8) and Mean ±SD(7.011±0.512), X2 38.22 P=0.001also the majority of participant (51.0%) have high of the attitudes towards influenza vaccination followed by (37.0%) of participant average while Range(10-18) and Mean ±SD (15.521±1.755), X2 70.26 P=0.001. Conclusion: The proportion of elderly people aged 50 and above who are willing to receive free influenza vaccine is high in Saudi Arabia. But the level of knowledge about influenza, vaccine and trust in society is low. The government should continue to improve the elderly’s awareness and trust in society through medical staff, family members, television and radio media, and guide the elderly to actively vaccinate against influenza. Effective publicity should be carried out through the above channels to guide the elderly to actively vaccinate against influenza, and a significant number of hospitalization's Keywords: Assessment, Knowledge, attitudes, Patients, PHC, seasonal influenza, Immunization, Saudi Arabia.","PeriodicalId":16362,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical Science And clinical Research","volume":"122 34","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138606853","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

MSLs are scientific experts in a therapeutic area, and their role is to link industry and doctors to disseminate scientific information and gather insights on unmet medical needs. Their role is quite different from others in the industry because based on quality more than quantity; therefore, there still needs to be an evaluation method able to capture in full the potential of the role. This results in MSLs needing to feel more valued and the industry needing to demonstrate the value that MSLs bring to the company. This work aimed to collect all the information available in the literature on metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) currently used for MSL's evaluation. To achieve that, I collected data from trusted and specialized papers, using PubMed as the central database. An interesting factor is the scarcity of published material on the issue, even if the topic is considered central for both industry and MSLs. I also had some interviews with experts in the field. Their contributions were precious because they helped me fill the literature's lack of data. Collecting all the information available helped me better understand the role of the MSL and clearly showed that the current metric system can be improved.","PeriodicalId":16362,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical Science And clinical Research","volume":"51 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138606415","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Timely and efficient ambulance responses are fundamental in emergency medical services, significantly influencing patient morbidity and mortality rates. The research employs a retrospective analysis of ambulance response times and patient transfer data collected over a specific period. Key variables include response time intervals, patient demographics, medical conditions, and outcomes during hospital transfer. Statistical analyses, including regression modeling, are utilized to assess the correlation between response times and patient outcomes, considering potential confounding factors. Preliminary findings indicate a noteworthy association between extended ambulance response times and adverse patient outcomes, emphasizing the urgency of swift emergency medical interventions. This research contributes valuable insights to emergency medical service providers, policymakers, and healthcare professionals, aiming to enhance pre-hospital care strategies and improve overall patient well-being.
