This scripture which was originally written in Jawi writing, often used by the historians as an indication for the coming of Islam in the Malay World. The Islamized nature of Hikayat Raja-Raja Pasai reflects the position of Islam at that time, with Muslim rulers reigning over their kingdoms using Islamic laws and incorporate Islamic components in their traditions and customs practiced within their timeframe. The text also captured the issues erupted within the courts which is interesting to analyse. Although Hikayat Raja-Raja Pasai is often associated with its historical accountability, this article offers a new angle in viewing the ancient chronicle by reflecting its relevance six centuries later with the conditions of the contemporary Muslim world by using analytical research. This article aims to dig about the Pasai kings from the book and list the Islamic principles and what contradicts them with the contemporary world nowadays. It can elicit a range of influences from its broadcast which ultimately leads to community changes. The effect of the message that occurs to the film in the packaging of symbolic reality is felt by the audience directly, and can be in the form of emotional changes. The researcher takes a film that he wants to analyze, and considers it a real example of the Islamization of cinema in Indonesia. The movie \"Sang Pencerah\" tells about the struggle of the national pioneer, Kiai Hajj Ahmad Dahlan. Moreover, the researcher wanted to reveal the principles of Islam and how to apply them in the life of society. And aimed to know the principles of Islam in the film and their effects on the life of the community, especially in the state of Yogyakarta. In this research, researcher used the semiotic theory Roland Baths. This research is basic research in a qualitative form. The method used in this study is the historical method. The results of this research are that films have an important impact and films have a very large role in society that can change their lives in the future. Husni","doi":"10.46722/hkmh.5.2.22b","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.46722/hkmh.5.2.22b","url":null,"abstract":"The study discusses an optimal method for building moderate society through the higher objective of Shariah, by employing the five essentials of goals of Islamic law based on the God Almighty command to His servants on righteousness, moderation and forbade them from excesses and corruptions. Islamic law prohibits extremism, intolerance, and extremism while it promotes respect among different cultural, religious, and civilization pluralism, and on the other hand, it renounces racism. The permissive people describe adherents of religion and moderation as hardliners, fanatics, and extremists against modern developments because of the permissive view that pornography contents should be permissible in religion as means of moral and civilization progress. They also claim that strict adherence to religious obligations leads to a lack of freedoms and compliance with global civilization. To this effect, Shariah law presents the ideal and best model for social organization and best human behavior practices, so that they may live a good and contented life, in harmony with the nature that God created people with. The study employs analytical induction methods with a basis for addressing contemporary issues and Islamic thought. It also discusses the higher objectives of Shariah from several angles and at the forefront explicates the criterion and judgment. Despite the setbacks and challenges confronting the Islamic nation, Allah has destined goodness and empowerment for its sustainability and never seizes to exist. The study concluded that achieving this requires: First: adherence to the highest revelation and most trusted bond of religion and strengthening loyalty to the Islamic faith and law. Second: The necessity of gathering the efforts of the Muslim community members and mobilizing the scholarly, intellectual, youth, and women forces. Astonishingly enough, this Sumatran society has unique habits in that it allocates the division of rights to take place among females absolutely and excludes males. That is because it is common among Muslims that males deprive females of their right to inherit, but that males are deprived of inheritance, this is what we did not expect. The research relied on the inductive approach to extrapolate and study the inheritance system in Islam according to what was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, as well as the custom of the Mingkabau community in West Sumatra by referring to the writings of scholars specialized in that and their interpretations, and it relies on the analytical method by analyzing the position of Sharia for this application. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: that the Mingkabo community adhered to a certain matriarchal system; Children and grandchildren carry their lineage to the mother in social life, considering the genetic and legal documentation of their fathers. On the other hand, the system of inheritance according to the custom of the Mingkabo society is of two types: the first: high inheritance; This type of inheritance does not contradict Islamic law, but rather has a basis in religion, because the reality of this inheritance is like a waqf. The pandemic situation has brought humanity to a new challenge in maintaining spiritual and mental strength. The feelings of anxiety, fear, stress, depression and worry that afflict Malaysians have disrupted aspects of psychology and personal well-being which are important elements in human life. The study found, concerns about mental health issues among children, teenagers and adults were seen to be increasing compared to the previous year. This contributes to reported cases including suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression and stress. Changes in living norms had a negative impact on mental health especially among students. They easily feel anxious and depressed with the state of Covid-19 and the volatile new regulations including changes in the education system using Distance Learning (DL) methods. DL is seen to have a negative impact on the mental health of students. In order to form a healthy and perfect individual, the physical and mental needs of students need to be met. Thus, a study on the effects of DL on mental health during pandemic era was conducted on students of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Pagoh, Johor. In achieving the objectives, the study was conducted with the method of data collection by questionnaire and strengthen the information through literature and library materials. The results of the study found that the impact of DL on students' mental health is at a high level. This suggests that the mental health problems of the students were disrupted during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the research mainly involves the inconsistencies or differences between two distinct legal regimes, i.e., Islamic jurisprudence and the state's statutory law in the field specified above. The research has revealed that matters related to the Inheritance of Muslims will be dealt with in accordance with the Islamic jurisprudence, while common law is applied when testacy matters are involved. It has been established by the supreme court of Sri Lanka that a child adopted by Muslim parents would not be entitled to become their heir as the matter is governed by the Act legislated in compliance with the principles of the Islamic jurisprudence. This paper contains two matters; firstly, it deals with a historical background of the Muslim intestate succussion ordinance in Sri Lanka, and later exclusively examines the law which is applicable for Sri Lankan Muslims in terms of the adopted child inheritance in light of Islamic jurisprudence. Induction and textual analysis have been employed in this work in order to scrutinize the law relating to intestate succession and Islamic jurisprudence. This investigation concludes with three remarkable points as follows: First, Sri Lankan Muslim minority community has a right to apply Islamic law in terms of intestate succussion as per section no10, 1931. Next, in spite of the adoption ordinance being applicable to all Sri Lankans, which permits inheritance rights to an adopted child, is not applicable to the Muslims according to the Supreme Court, referring to Muslim intestate succession law which does not allow inheritance rights to an adopted child. His task is very important in providing a true understanding of the verses of the Qur'an which is the word of Allah SWT. Since the Qur’an was revealed in Arabic and understanding its contents is necessary to tadabbur and observation, then this study examines one of the most important aspects that need to be mastered by a mufassir which is to know and understand the Arabic language. The purpose of this study is to dismantle the importance of the elements of the Arabic language for a mufassir, further examine the great impact of the Arabic language in understanding the Qur'an. Similarly, identify the basic knowledge in the branch of Arabic language that needs to be mastered by a commentator. This study uses a descriptive method by collecting the views of scholars of tafsir and the Arabic language of the past on the importance of mastering and understanding the Arabic language and then study and draw conclusions from it. The study found that understanding the Qur’an is one of the most important requirements in Islamic law and cannot achieve understanding of the Qur’an except by mastering the Arabic language. In addition, in understanding the Qur’an there are some important sciences that are listed largely under the branch of Arabic language.
