This paradoxical statement has become a big wall that people would go to hide and escape from giving defensible justifications for claims made especially claims on religious beliefs and the unseen existences. This pose a huge problem for those who use logical thinking to evaluate the truth value of any proposition as if logical thinking would result in wrong judgment on truth and ethical proposition. What is more, some hold the belief that the Qur’ān shuns logic and thus Muslims are prohibited from applying logical thinking to determine truth from falsehood. This study explored young Muslims’ understanding of the concept of logic to get some insight on this phenomenon, so that informed decisions and planning could be made to arrest this confusion. Moreover, an assessment of young Muslims’ understandings is very important to ensure that they are in line with Qur’ānic teachings. Qualitative analysis was used to analyse data collected from 10 participants using semi-structured interviews. Since face to face interaction was not possible because of the current pandemic, interviews were done using Zoom, Google Meet and WhatsApp. The emergent themes that could be extracted from the participants’ responses were confusion on the understanding of ʿaql and the relationship between the spiritual brain and heart; logical mind as means to solve problems of non-religious issues; and the negative consequences of logical thinking (among others, that it could lead to unbelief). However, a minority of the respondents viewed logical thinking as necessary to understand revelation. As one of the most predominant recommendations of that conference is the implementation of a comprehensive and integrated educational system, acknowledging that the current conditions in most countries of the Islamic world's educational and educational institutions do not represent the Islamic image, and do not play their correct role in bringing up generations on the guidance of Islam in worship, perception, and behavior patterns. In addition to emphasizing the significance of the Arabic language in comprehending Islam, this research intends to apply Islamic characteristics derived from the Qur'an and Hadith and related to each topic in the textbook for Malaysian primary school curricula. Mohamad, Hakim bin Zainal","doi":"10.46722/hikmah.v5i3g","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.46722/hikmah.v5i3g","url":null,"abstract":"The Javanese writing is one of the privileges possessed by Malaysians in general and Muslims in particular, because the Javanese writing is a complete reflection of the Arabic language, as it is similar in writing and letters despite the difference in terms of reading the Arabic language, a language that symbolizes Islamic identity. However, the situation of Javanese writing is increasingly challenged with the introduction of a new writing system based on the Latin script and making people use and prefer it from Javanese script. This leads to a point of concern regarding the mastery of Javanese writing in future generations and their knowledge of reading letters and writings inspired by Arabic letters. Therefore, this study aims to study the history of Javanese writing and to highlight the extent to which this writing serves as a tool for Islamic knowledge in Malaysia. Malay emphasizes the culture and customs of all society, especially women, but there are many social problems among women in this era because of the lack of adherence to religion and adherence to Malay customs. According to this research, ancient Malay tales are neglected or forgotten and its texts are unknown to present generations. Therefore, the research aims to discover the Islamic characteristics found in Malay women's characters in selected ancient Malay tales such as from the Poem of Siti Zubaydah, the tale of Hang Tuah, the masterpiece of the Melaka, the tale of the kings of Pasai and the dynasty of the sultans with their characteristics and examples. This research is based on the analytical approach in literature by reviewing some related references and books in the Malay language. This study aims to show the Islamic concepts contained in the movie \"Pendekar Bujang Lapok\". If these concepts are presented through the axes of the events of the film. In addition, this study aims to analyze the effect of this film on the behavior of society. The results of the research found that this film contains some characteristics of the Islamic civilization found in the land of Malay. In addition, the director also tries to show the human values that existed after the advent of Islam in the land of Malay.
