This has been resolved by Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) technology. Spectrums are available for Primary Users (PUs) with highest priority and Secondary Users (SUs) can opportunistically access license band wherever it is not in used by PU. CRN increases the efficiency of spectrum utility hence recently this technology is more demanded. The increasing demand of CRN causes energy consumption issue. This paper meticulously recaps on algorithms, protocols, methods for energy minimization in CRN.","PeriodicalId":158896,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Power Electronics & IoT Applications in Renewable Energy and its Control (PARC)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115372897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the emergence of power electronics and optimization techniques, renewable energy based grids and EV’s are a trending area. Microgrid is an area of such research where different renewable energy sources are implemented to satisfy the necessary load power demands. Grid connected hybrid microgrid is another major subset of microgrid where the utility grid is present along with renewables and power balance is maintained between the grids and renewable energy sources. EV’s act as mobile energy storage components as well as permit movement without adding to the pollution index. Several studies have been carried out on implementing EV’s into the microgrid and their effect on the power grid. When dealing with DER’s, uncertainty is a major variable to be focused on and the incorporation of EV’s increases this factor twice fold. This paper reviews the various studies on the grid connected hybrid microgrid along with several optimization techniques, grids incorporating EV’s and the various uncertainties considered when tackling these issues.","PeriodicalId":158896,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Power Electronics & IoT Applications in Renewable Energy and its Control (PARC)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115738721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper on board and off board charging schemes for EV is proposed based on voltage and state of charge (SOC). An adaptive controller is designed which resolve many problems faced by previous charging schemes. Controller compares the EV voltage at point of charging (POC) with the predefined reference voltage and reduces charging as POC voltage approaches this reference. Battery SOC and owner’s preferred end of charge time are taken into account for reduced charging rates. Extensive simulation results have been shown to validate the proposed controller. Controller performance checked by considering voltage control devices in distribution system to maintain the system within acceptable limits. An ever-increasing population necessitates the monitoring and management of electricity use. It’s not only the problem with excessive power consumption, but also with fluctuations in power supply owing to power theft, leakage, poor infrastructure and incorrect billing. The methodology of data analytics and outcomes of analyzing the dataset available for identifying the improper patterns using anomaly detection algorithms are discussed in this paper. In addition, the study investigated at the tools and platforms for data analytics and simulation environments. Since the estimated data does not show variance with the actual data, it may still be incorrect to judge the dataset is anomaly free. Oil prices are skyrocketing day by day and the oil reserves in the world are diminishing at a faster rate. With the current trend, the global population may increase from 6 billion to 10 billion by 2050. Hence an increase in vehicle numbers adds on to total pollution. Therefore, it is high time to develop a clean and sustainable transportation system. Thus, Electric Vehicles (EVs) are attaining huge importance and will oversee the clean vehicle market. The electric vehicle design approach is multidisciplinary and there are various techniques to evaluate the performance of the vehicles. The paper presents an equation placed strategy to calculate the total tractive power. The various resistive forces acting on a vehicle during uphill condition is considered in order to get the total tractive force. The paper analyses the relationship between the dynamic vehicle parameters and the tractive force requirement of the vehicle. A comparison is provided by varying the aerodynamic drag coefficients and road angles for achieving a particular final velocity. Vehicle dynamic equations are simulated in MATLAB platform.","PeriodicalId":158896,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Power Electronics & IoT Applications in Renewable Energy and its Control (PARC)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129480292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The $mu$ PMUs are placed in the network for fault observability, and the network is divided into monitoring zones. Thereafter, a fault detection index is developed that computes the change in the per-unit sum of positive sequence active power entering the zone. Extensive test scenarios are simulated on a microgrid system for the grid-connected and islanded mode of operation to verify the proposed scheme. Besides that, validation on several no-fault scenarios such as capacitor and load switching, distributed generator tripping, microgrid islanding, and resynchronization is performed. Across the wide range of operating conditions, the test results indicate that the proposed method reliably detects faults in the microgrid.","PeriodicalId":158896,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Power Electronics & IoT Applications in Renewable Energy and its Control (PARC)","volume":"147 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129919582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This methodology increases the testability which in turn improves the fault coverage. For this purpose, the technique uses a chain of scan cells. This becomes a source of attack for an attacker who can observe / control the internal states and use the information for malicious purposes. Hence, security becomes the main concern in the Integrated Circuit (IC) domain since scan chains are the main reason for leakage of confidential information during testing phase. These leakages will help attackers in reverse engineering. Measures against such attacks have to be taken by encrypting the data which flows through the scan chains. Lightweight ciphers can be used for scan chain encryption. In this work, encryption of scan data is done for ISCAS-89 benchmarks and the performance and security properties are evaluated. Lightweight stream and block ciphers are used to perform scan encryption. A comparative analysis between the two techniques is performed in par with the functions related to design cost and security properties.","PeriodicalId":158896,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Power Electronics & IoT Applications in Renewable Energy and its Control (PARC)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125680841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
