Various Approaches of Use and Optimization of FACTS: A Review

Abstract

In last few years it has been found that demand in power sector has increased rapidly but overhauling of infrastructure hadn’t been done with same pace leading to congestion in transmission lines and decline in the power quality. Use of FACTS devices had led to reduce such problems but approaches used for FACTS need to be used in better way for optimizing its use as well as to make it more beneficial. Various researchers have showed many paths to optimize its usages a review on these researches has been done in this paper.
