This paper provides a comprehensive review of a hybrid grid incorporated with a smart controller. The smart controller enables switching among the conventional, non-conventional resources and the energy storage devices based on their availability. The switching is based on the smart switching algorithm. The paper also reviews the technological advancements made since the advent of IoT (Internet of Things). IoT helps to achieve real time monitoring and the possibility of remote controlling of the model given in this paper. Abstract

The increasing power consumption in the globalized technological era and the depleting conventional resources of energy, the integration of renewable resources of energy in the present grid system becomes a necessity. This paper provides a comprehensive review of a hybrid grid incorporated with a smart controller.
