Modern applications today have used automation contexts to adjust application behavior to the received context, especially in industrial environment. This can highly increase the user experience of ergonomic comfort, safety, and health of workers. This context can be concluded by a program using variety of sensors possessed by a device. For example, using GPS to get a location so that it can provide recommendations for places that can be visited according to user interests or using voice to give orders to a program. One context that is still rarely used is the context of the distance between the face of a worker and the computer screen he uses. This context is one of the very important contexts in the field of workers’ health considering the number of device users who experience health problems due to not paying attention to the distance between the eyes and the screen of the device used. Therefore, the system we created is able to detect the distance between the face and the screen of the device by measuring the distance between the worker’s eyes using the front camera installed on the device used. Thus, when the distance of the face and screen is too close, the program can give a warning to workers to keep the distance between the face and the screen of the device for the health of the workers themselves.","PeriodicalId":156644,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 1st International Conference on Engineering and Management in Industrial System (ICOEMIS 2019)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127457959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bovine Horn is an abundant natural resource, yet its industrial application is limited. Introducing this natural material to the machining process is expected to improve the adoption of this material in producing industrial products. This study aims to describe the optimization of bovine horns milling process parameters, depth of cut (d), feed-rate (f), and spindle speed (s), in obtaining a maximum surface quality as well as minimizing power consumption. The results showed that at d = 1 mm, f = 72 mm/min, and s = 860 rpm, the work-piece exhibited low surface roughness (R a = 0.614µm), whereas at the setting of d = 1 mm, f =155 mm/min, and s =360 rpm, the process consumed the least power (P= 0.858kW). Grey rational analysis (GRA) was applied to obtain the optimal point from these two conditions. This analysis proposed d = 1 mm, f = 72 mm/min, and s = 860 rpm as the milling parameters to produce good surface quality (R a = 0.614 µm) with less power consumption (P=0.991 kW). Finally, decreasing feed-rate and depth of cut of the milling process is the reasonable approach to produce the machined products made of bovine horns with good surface quality and minimum power consumption.","PeriodicalId":156644,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 1st International Conference on Engineering and Management in Industrial System (ICOEMIS 2019)","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128343154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sampang Regency is one of regions in East Java affected by flood every year. This causes disruption to the economic system of the community, especially for SMEs. Batik is a potential creative industry whose production processes are influenced by weather and climate. The quality of colouring and drying of batik depends on the brightness of the sun and the humidity around the production area. Therefore, this study aims to measure the level of resilience of Batik SMEs so that it can provide information to SMEs managers in planning flood disaster mitigation and extreme weather in batik production and marketing process. The dimensions of resilience of SMEs were identified from literature studies which were then grouped based on eight social-technical aspects. Data were collected using a semi-structure questionnaire. The questionnaire was validated by three disaster experts in SMEs. Respondents in this study were ten batik SMEs in Sampang Regency. Resilience levels were measured by adopting risk assessment measurements with multiplication between the probability and capacity of SMEs in the dealing with natural disasters. The measurement of resilience was used to formulate mitigation efforts that are expected to aid SMEs and the Government in dealing with natural disasters.","PeriodicalId":156644,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 1st International Conference on Engineering and Management in Industrial System (ICOEMIS 2019)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125533355","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Results of preliminary observations used Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire shown that there was the severity of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) on the upper body of the workers. The purpose of this research was to analyzing and evaluating the risk of exposure of those repetitive tasks, determining rest time and also determining suitable work posture. Occupational Repetitive Actions (OCRA) index used to determine the risk level of musculoskeletal disorders and rest time. The occupational repetitive actions (OCRA) index is the most precise method for analyzing and evaluating the risk of exposure to repetitive tasks. There were six activities observed in the packaging process. The highest OCRA index result was inserted cardboard sheet with 17,55 right-hand risk value and 16,51 left-hand risk value. Improvement proposed in this study was the design of the work method with rest time calculation and posture correction. Decreasing of OCRA index after improvement result was at 11,11% to 76,37%. Introduction The packaging process in Herbicides producer company required many workers, those parts are arranging bottles, check aluminum seals, check the bottle cap, insert cardboard sheets, arrange the dosing cap, and move finished product. Results of preliminary observations used Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire shown that there was the severity of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) on the upper body of the workers. Previous studies in the packaging process have been carried out. Evaluation of working posture and musculoskeletal disorders prevalence in packaging workers used the RULA method. The result from that research showed a non-significant relation between body parts scores and self – reported pains in the regions in all subjects [1]. Ovako Working Analysis System (OWAS) was used to check the risk level of working posture in the packaging section. CATIA was used to design the new working facility [2]. To assess the exposure of upper limbs to musculoskeletal disorders (MSD's) in the sequential packaging of a product, and the analysis of risk factors used the OCRA checklist method [3]. Workers in the packaging section worked repetitively and continuously for eight hours per shift. Among the most relevant safety issues in terms of workload and working environment is the presence of repetitive tasks [4]. The ISO 11228-3:2007 explain about the ergonomic standard committed to handling low loads at high frequency in the working environment, and defines the repetitive task, as the task characterized by repeated work cycles. High repetition of movements in manual tasks can lead to work-related musculoskeletal disorders, with specific regard to the upper limb. Musculoskeletal disorders are among the most common occupational problems [5]. Important typical effects of time-on-task during tedious monitoring tasks or other repetitive task","PeriodicalId":156644,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 1st International Conference on Engineering and Management in Industrial System (ICOEMIS 2019)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131142168","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In producing water meters, one of the parts is the head casing. Head casing part consist of two types namely LF-1 and LF-2. Constraints experienced by companies are the inaccessibility of head casing production targets that can hinder the sale of water meters to consumers. For this reason, a proposal to improve the lean manufacturing approach is proposed to minimize the waste that occurs. The stage of the lean manufacturing approach is to identify the production process that occurs using the Process Activity Mapping and Value Stream Mapping. Furthermore, identifying waste that occurs using fishbone diagrams. After identifying waste, waste motion is found in the process of making head casing part with manual lathes. Subsequently, proposed improvements were made using the Single Minutes Exchange of Die (SMED) method. This model is very simple and easy to use so that this model is widely applied to various allocation and distribution problems such as the problem of shipping goods, the selection of transport fleets, the selection of production sites, and others. However, this model has never been applied to electricity allocation and distribution. This is due to differences in the nature of goods and electricity. The loading allocation for each power plant usually uses an economic dispatch model. The Economic dispatch model is able to make allocations for generating plants that minimize fuel costs but are not able to do distribution optimization. Therefore, this study proposes the Single Echelon Economic Dispatch (SEED) models. The SEED model is the development of the transportation model. This model is formed from a combination of transportation models with economic dispatch models. Verification of the model using the Mahakam interconnection system in East Kalimantan. As a result, the SEED model is able to carry out a combined optimization between the production and distribution sides with minimum fuel cost parameters. The SEED model is also able to make a more detailed distribution than the Economic Dispatch model.","PeriodicalId":156644,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 1st International Conference on Engineering and Management in Industrial System (ICOEMIS 2019)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134164613","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to build a predictive model to estimate NOx pollutant released by backhoe equipment using Support Vector Machine model. Two type of kernel types (radial basis function and linear kernel types) are compared. The study runs the model several time to maximize the accuracy of SVM by finding the optimized parameter, which includes C, ε, and γ. The results show that radial basis function kernel type provide higher accuracy than linear kernel type. In addition, this study also conclude that higher C and γ parameter results in much lower mean absolute error value. However, it requires much longer calculation time. The SVM predictive model also show that the significant factors to predict NOx emission are MAP, RPM, backhoe type and the intake temperature.","PeriodicalId":156644,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 1st International Conference on Engineering and Management in Industrial System (ICOEMIS 2019)","volume":"39 31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129668807","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
