The proposed fiber displacement sensor consists of a half-loop structure of bare high-bend loss singlemode fiber-1060XP, employing the well-known Whispering Gallery mode (WGM) effect. A ratiometric power measurement system for interrogating the proposed sensor is also presented. By measuring the change in ratio of bend loss in the ratiometric system, a change in displacement can be measured assuming the ratiometric system is calibrated. The proposed macrobending fiber based displacement sensor achieves a higher resolution (less than 75 nm of displacement) than other conventional fiber-optic sensors and also benefits from simplicity.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"6 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132279960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The intracavity mode properties and Zernike-aberration coefficient of intrcacity mirror's maladjustment are calculated theoretically. The experimental results about the relations of intracavity mirror maladjustment and the properties of mode aberration are presented by adopting Hartmann-Shack wavefront sensor. The results show that the intracavity perturbation of the concave mirror has more remarkable effect on outcoupled beam-quality than that of the convex mirror. For large Fresnel-number resonator, the tilt angle of intracavity mirror has a close linear relationship with extracavity Zernike tilt coefficient. The ratio of tilt aberration coefficient approaches to the magnification of unstable resonator if equivalent perturbation is applied to concave mirror and convex mirror respectively. Furthermore, astigmatism and defocus aberration also increase with the augment of tilt aberration of beam mode. So intracavity phase-corrected elements used in unstable resonator should be close to the concave mirror. Based these results, a set of autocontrol system of intracavity tilt aberration is established and the aberration-corrected results are analyzed detailedly.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117099496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A reverse code-mapping method is first introduced, which allows the generation of 1-D prime codes from their 2-D counterparts. Afterwards, the one-to-one correspondence between 1-D and 2-D optical codes is established with the use of the Chinese remainder theorem. This theorem is then used for the first time to generate rare, difficult-to-construct 1-D optical codes of cross-correlation values of at most two. Finally, an improved zero-padding folding method for mapping 1-D to 2-D optical codes with more flexible selection of code parameters than previous methods is detailed.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115835733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this process, we found a new visible emission band, the visible emission intensity increased quickly at first, then decreased exponentially, while the peaks energy has a red shift from 583nm to 615nm along with the increasing reaction temperature. The results indicate this visible emission band correlate with the nanocrystalline ZnO/amorphous ZnO interface. The interface was polarized by the activated amorphous ZnO acts with the nanocrystalline ZnO surface, thus charge carrier was self-trapped on the nanocrystalline ZnO surface and emitted visible PL by recombination. We studied the changes rule of the nanocrystalline ZnO / amorphous ZnO interface by the characteristic of visible emission.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116143290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most digitizers scan objects in a 2.5D way such that the multiple data sets need to be aligned and integrated. In this paper a kind of new method applying to RE which composed of digital close-range industrial photogrammetry and surface scanner technology is proposed. Where un-coded points and coded-points attached on the surface of parts can be figured out and the complete un-coded points are exported using photogrammetry system XJTUDP. The surface scanner system XJTUOM is according to the complete area un-coded points, every piece of points-cloud may be aligned automatically. Then 3D data of the object surface and CAD model of part are acquired precisely using post-processing software of RE. Experiment studies of garbage processor show that the approach possesses good accuracy and satisfy the requirement of RE.","PeriodicalId":155352,"journal":{"name":"2010 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114982824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
