The conventional vector current control can be effectively used to control the VSI when the grid is strong. However, the interactions between the inner current controller and the Phase Locked Loop (PLL) may make the system unstable when the grid is weak. In this paper a Voltage Modulated Direct Power Control (VMDPC) is used to control the VSI. The VMDPC technique does not need a PLL for its operation. The simulations were carried out in MATLAB/Simulink. The performance of the controller against step changes in fuel flow rate, active and reactive power references, fuel composition and temperature are analysed. The effect of sag in grid voltage on the performance of the controller is also evaluated. The total harmonic distortion of the current injected into the grid is found to be within acceptable limits.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122741763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The arithmetic float point unit, which is normally selectable for various precision floating point numbers, is able to work at different precision floating point numbers among various types of engineering application. Flexible architecture of floating point arithmetic is provided by the accelerated growth of the FPGA technologies. This paper explains how a common floating point arithmetic method based on FPGA is constructed using Verilog HDL. The arithmetic floating point unit is capable of supplementing and subtracting a few double precision float point numbers or two singles. The floating point arithmetic unit will execute a pair of double-precision floating point numbers or two single-precision floating point numbers. At the conclusion of this article, simulation and hardware test illustrate functionality and measurement correctness.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126338166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With these properties, FBMC is a suitable multicarrier waveform technique for 5G and future wireless networks. FBMC, like other multicarrier waveform schemes, has a high peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) problem. In this paper logarithmic rooting companding is investigated for PAPR reduction of FBMC-offset QAM (OQAM) systems. Its’ performance is compared with other nonlinear companding techniques such as µ-law, A-law, rooting and tangent rooting, that are used for PAPR reduction of FBMC-OQAM systems. It was observed that it performed better than previously investigated techniques in terms of PAPR reduction but showed significantly reduced bit-error-rate (BER) performance when compared to that of µ-law, A-law companding techniques, and comparable BER performance to that of rooting and tangent rooting techniques. It was also observed that by appropriately choosing the companding parameters of logarithmic rooting companding a trade-off between PAPR reduction capability and BER performance is achieved.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130131952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Google has come up with solutions like dynamic delivery and bundle etc. to reduce the app size but with some constraints. This paper focuses on new size reduction concepts and methods that override these constraints and help in size reduction effectively. These size reduction methods will not only help in reducing the app size but also will help in app dynamicity. Images contribute heavily towards the increase in app size. Nowadays, device resolution has evolved drastically and those devices need to use high-resolution images which directly add a significant rise in App size. This has been addressed a little bit by the creation of an App bundle based on device density, but it still requires keeping few versions of image resolution in the native App. Is it possible deliver all images of the screen (or all images of the App) as a bundle and integrate it with the App in runtime? Our main goal is to keep the code and images independent of each other in such a way that they can be delivered separately. We will keep the code in the native App which will be downloaded as a base App while all the images will be downloaded from the distributed system once then App has been installed. There is no direct mechanism to achieve it as the image id is generated at the time of compilation but we can override it. In this dynamic era, all Apps need to be dynamic and their content/view need to be updated without any new app update unless it has major changes involved. So far, all methodology revolves around native app rendering and hybrid (web view/App) rendering. WebView has its rendering mechanism across different devices which consists of mapping of web components and native OS components. We want to keep the native rendering while also allowing to change the UI at any point in time to support App dynamicity. This will not involve any App update but requires back-end releases that redirect App UI change. This will also reduce the number of XML files that are responsible for App layouts.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129746502","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The adjacent cell-to-cell balancing method has slow speed and is less efficient in such multi-cell series-connected battery string. Automatic cell balancing using switched capacitor for multi-cell connectivity for 16 cells is presented in this paper. Balancing speed of the proposed switched capacitor equalizer does not rely on the number of battery cells and initial mismatch distribution of cell voltages. To provide a simple and flexible design for large amount of series connected battery cells, modularized architecture is proposed. MATLAB/Simulink model are developed for 4, 8 and 16 cells respectively. Simulation results are presented for to verify the feasibility of the proposed cell balancing technique.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"118 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127029673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Out of more than 500 primate species over 60% of primate species are extinct because of various reasons such as hunting, habitat loss human activities, etc. It is our responsibility to safeguard the primate breeds once again introducing primates into their natural surroundings. In this paper, a deep Convolutional Neural Network was trained to classify various primate breeds and predict the breed of a particular test image. 10 monkey species dataset from the Kaggle data science community was used. This dataset consists of 10 breeds of primates labeled n0 to n9. The model was trained with different epochs, works with an accuracy of 0.8050 on the training set and 0.7353 on the validation set with epochs 20. The trained model predicted the primate breeds accurately. These predictions are very helpful in identifying various primate breeds and protecting and safeguarding those breeds from extinction. In future this research can be extended to automate the process for identifying the primate breeds by embedding the process into IoT.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125255179","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Redial kernel SVM base classifier is used for gender identification in this work and Iris crypt densities,Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) and Local Binary Patterns (LBP)and are considered as the features for classification. The thesis conducted on 200 subjects (100 males and 100 females) in the age group of 18–60 years. Along with the Crypt count this work uses Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) features for detection of orientation of human face. On basis of only HOG features we can only recognize the orientation and we get 67.85% accuracy of gender classification. Local Binary Patterns (LBP) found different in male and female face; hence this work uses LBP as another feature for classification, we get 80.55% classification rate when only LBP features are used. Iris Crypt densities on the right- and left-iris were determined using a newly designed layout and analyzed statistically, the proposed work results showed that females tend to have a higher iris-crypt density in both the areas examined, individually and combined. Differences in the crypt density can be used as an important tool for the determination of gender in cases where partial eye-iris are encountered as evidence. On basis of Crypt densities, we get 90% accuracy of gender classification. This work merged all three features and found 98.5% gender classification rate with Redial kernel Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier. The work is done on MATLAB 2018b version and standard human face database is FERET for identification.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124415762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The RDG units are connected consumer side for ameliorating voltage profile and mitigating loss in grid. The integration of RDG units in non-proper allocation will lead to more power loss and lower voltages, leading to higher operating costs in power grids. So, RDG units should be installed at optimal bus position with proper size. In this article, a novel Dolphin Echolocation Optimization (DEO) is presented to get optimal siting and sizing of RDG units simultaneously for diminishing power loss and ameliorating profile of voltage in the grid. The ability and robustness of the DEO is checked on IEEE-33 bus. The comparison with presented Genetic Algorithm (GA) and some recent literature works is done to affirm the efficacy and superiority of DEO technique. The simulation results have shown that DEO is the finest economical algorithm for finding the optimum positioning of RDG, leading to substantial loss mitigation and boost voltage profile compared to GA and other recent works.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116702266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data has been taken from 30/01/2020 to 12/02/2021 for fitting the first wave and 13/02/2021 to 18/06/2021 for fitting the second wave. The value has been calculated for a span of 14 days towards the end of the second wave in absence of original data to analyze the pandemic situation for the next two weeks (19th June to 2nd July). Upon fitting the data for the two waves, the required model parameters are estimated. The study has further been extended to predict the number of cases for the same time period (19th June to 2nd July) using a machine learning model – Matern 5/2 GPR with satisfactory performance metrics. Finally, the original data during the two weeks is compared with the data predicted by the Matern 5/2 GPR model to check the performance of the model. This Matern 5/2 GPR model, to the best of our knowledge is being applied to predict the COVID-19 pandemic for the first time in India.","PeriodicalId":155129,"journal":{"name":"2021 Fourth International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132551315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Internet of things has the capability of sharing large amount of data, due to which there is an overhead on the IOT network. The better solution to overcome this problem is by incorporating suitable routing and best energy conversation methods. Cognitive radio is the best solution for routing and energy conservation methods due to its intelligence. But there is swap between spectrum sensing time and energy consumption in cognitive radio networks. To overcome the trade-off, the inclusion of Optimization in cognitive radio is must for better IOT services.
