Nevertheless, gender studies recognize a high female attitude to networking, representing a prolific source of new ideas. In this scenario, the present work aims to investigate (i) the role of Relational Capital (RC) in the innovation's creating process of innovative female start-ups and (ii) analyze the bond-type characterizing it. With this purpose, the present work uses an Exploratory Descriptive Qualitative methodology and applies the CAOS model (an Italian acronym for “Caratteristiche personali, Ambiente, Organizzazione, and Start-ups”) on a selected case study. Findings confirm the RC's vital contribution to the women-led enterprises' development, also as a driver of innovation and show the characteristics typical of the bonds involved. In the current literature, there is a gap about women role as drivers of new solutions; hence, the research can improve gender studies about innovation, particularly regarding women's start-ups. Furthermore, from a managerial point of view, it can help female SMEs identify which types of bonds can be strategically crucial for implementing innovative solutions.","PeriodicalId":154817,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Technology Management, Operations and Decisions (ICTMOD)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123137260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They produce seismic waves that propagate into the earth's surface, whereby sensitive detectors collect the reflected data for analysis. The reflected signal can be thought of as a convolution of the seismic emitter(Airgun) and the earth response plus noise. As such a thorough understanding of this Airgun signature is critical to the eventual signal processing used towards a representative image of the subsurface from these detectors. Airguns are typically deployed in the field as arrays of clusters varying in volume capacity. Together these Airguns produce a signature with distinct geophysical characteristics that are required to extract meaningful information of the earth's subsurface. Metadata of from these individual Airgun Arrays is used to assess their performance since anomalous signals can significantly impact interpretations of the subsurface. Features can be extracted from an Airgun signature via a hydrophone within close proximity to the individual array. These labelled features were then used to design a model that classifies Airgun clusters by volume capacity on data known to be free of anomalies. By analyzing features from metadata with an unknown anomalous status with this model, accuracy metrics were used to assess the health and performance of individual Airguns.","PeriodicalId":154817,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Technology Management, Operations and Decisions (ICTMOD)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123190874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent research and pilot studies suggest that blockchain may promote agri-food sustainability, however blockchain adoption is still in its infancy and further studies are needed to accurately assess the advantages and limitations of using lockchain-based technologies in the agri-food sector. We acknowledge the shortcomings of the present study due to its conceptual nature, but drawing on the existing theoretical and empirical literature, it may act as a springboard for future research directions.","PeriodicalId":154817,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Technology Management, Operations and Decisions (ICTMOD)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124165673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such contactless clothes offer many benefits to their consumers to manage their dual (i.e., real-world and online) identities. Yet, this cutting-edge technology has not yet attracted scholars' interest. The present paper aims to unveil the psychological determinants of purchasing virtual clothes to post on social media. A study was conducted to investigate the motivational factors of purchasing NFT virtual clothes. Preliminary results show that while autonomy, praise and communication act as motivators influencing the purchase intention of digital clothes, attention-seeking and reputation act as inhibitors.","PeriodicalId":154817,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Technology Management, Operations and Decisions (ICTMOD)","volume":"AES-7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126510989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Notably, the definition must reflect its praxis. This study aims to fill this void by empirically validating the Competitive Intelligence unified view and modular definition proposed by Madureira, Popovic, and Castelli (2021). The choice for this specific definition relies on its recency, comprehensiveness, completeness, and universality. The study uses a mixed-methods approach to derive meta-inferences from the sequential integration of qualitative and quantitative methods. We tested content, external, discriminant validities, reliability, and applicability using an in-depth interview study with twenty global CI subject matter experts. The results empirically validate the unified view, the modular definition, the five core defining dimensions, and their respective descriptors. This study unfolds the impact of CI in management research across five key areas - practical, theoretical, educational, society, policy. The critical lever for this impact is the effectuation of the Body of Knowledge which subsequently effectuates the CI practice, education, and discipline, serving as the foundation for its future development in business and academia.","PeriodicalId":154817,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Technology Management, Operations and Decisions (ICTMOD)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121849567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Competitive intelligence maturity is considered as an evolving process of information transformation into a strategic and valuable resource that is the basis of the competitive advantage generation. Moreover, absorptive capacity could optimize this process for better knowledge creation or knowledge management. Based on resource-based theory, dynamic capability theory and knowledge-based theory, we focus on prior literature streams such as competitive intelligence maturity, absorptive capacity and competitive advantage which could be interconnected through deductive and inductive research methodology. This iterative conceptualization approach led to the formation of testable propositions that could allow for a better understanding of the relationship between the three main streams, that in research, has been considered as independent themes for decades. This research proposes a framework that supports a dynamic relationship between competitive intelligence maturity levels and absorptive capacity dimensions to create and maintain the competitive advantage.","PeriodicalId":154817,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Technology Management, Operations and Decisions (ICTMOD)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125419967","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
