Indeed, the practice of Christianity imposed by the masters was a key tool for to get the slaves busy when they were not at work, on Sundays mainly, and white pastors resorted to interpretation of the bible aiming at getting the black slaves to accept and adapt to their condition. Yet, from adaptation to the white man’s religion, the black slaves found motives for fight and resistance. Claude Fohlen’s L’Histoire de l’Esclavage en Amérique has explored the functioning of slavery in America, along with the importance of religion in the process. The present paper seeks to highlight the meaning of religion to both the slave master and the slaves themselves, and how it served both the white master’s control over slaves, and the slaves’ fight for emancipation. The study has been conducted under the New Criticism theory, an approach that focuses primarily on the text itself, avoiding outside influences such as historical and biographical information that might drive the reader from the essential meaning of the text. To this end, it is part of a context of communication. Through him, with him and through him, we manage to establish a relationship with others. The proverb is undoubtedly a means of transmitting knowledge that gives form to reality. At the Dida, his eternal presence in his daily life gives him a multidisciplinary dimension. In this way, it integrates several other discourses within it to interpret society and give it meaning. Far from it, the proverb is not fixed even less timeless. It is a discourse that, in Dida, interacts with other discourses in order to reflect its identity. The present study, which relies on sociolinguistics as a methodological support, aims to show how in its functioning, the proverb interacts with other discourses to account for the existential realities of the people. These languages often use the same item or an item whose pronunciation differs only by one phoneme or one syllable to designate the same reality. We analyze this phenomenon using the notion of linguistic intersection. The aim is to facilitate the choice and teaching of these languages. . To achieve our objectives, this study falls within the general framework of sociolinguistics and language teaching, using comparative linguistics. Through a few items from the six Kwa languages of our work, we proceeded to a lexico-semantic crossing to arrive at the following results: our research revealed two types of (linguistic) lexico-semantic intersection: nominal items having the same meaning are phonetically either totally or partially identical. This language presents two types of nominalizations: the lexical nominalization and the syntactic nominalization. The lexical nominalization proceeds by the creation of new substantives by the processes of derivation and composition. The nominalization by derivation is nominal, verbal, adjectival and adverbial. She/it uses six processes: the préfixation, the increase, the parasynthétique, the regression, the progression and the conversion. The nominalization by composition resorts to the processes of juxtaposition, congealment and agglutination of items for the creation of new lexical units. On his/her/its turn, the syntactic nominalization proceeds by the transformation of the simple sentences in nominal phrases. This nominalization makes use of two processes: the déverbalization and the désadjectivization. She/it is solely syntagmatic. This linguistic feature that runs through the enunciation carries the semantic feature (aspects) and the morphological feature (inflections / conjugation) of the verbs. These modes are the indicative, the subjunctive, the conditional and the imperative. The last-mentioned, generally speaking, is attributed by the users of the French language with the sole function of giving an order to an individual or collective interlocutor. In fact, it is also the mode of supplication, prohibition and advice. The argument underlying the present study in terms of hypothesis is that the imperative is a mode of invitation whose form depends on the (enunciation) context. This fundamental value can be observed throughout the pages of Alioun Fantouré's Le Cercle des Tropiques. The specific final objective here is to reveal all the subtleties of the use of this mode. The written productions examined are those of college students aged between 13 and 16, students for whom fluency in the French language is assumed to be acquired. The analysis focused on referential indeterminations in writings of an argumentative nature. The results indicate that anaphoric practices give rise to gender and number breaks in the link between the pronoun and the antecedent. Exophoric practices give rise to non-text referents, a phenomenon that is visibly little perceived by the learner. However, the misuse of anaphorics does not break the textual coherence. And it ultimately seems that these deviations in the use of the pronoun il(s) do not have a strong bearing on the construction of co-reference and of textual progression and coherence. It starts from the observation that the author codifies his work by the means of symbolism and that each symbol does not only summarize or hide a vast reality that sometimes escapes the reader; but also takes on a situational meaning which matches the context in which it appears; hence the hypothesis: the reading of a symbol is done in accordance with the environment to which it belongs.
