It is a question, using the stylistic approach, of showing the role that this discourse plays in a literary text. Indeed, writers such as Chinua Achebe, Seydou Badian, Amadou Hampaté Bâ, Ahmadou Kourouma, Sembene Ousmane, Ngugi Wa Thiong'o and Henri Lopes employ proverbial discourse with metaphorical, comparative, judgmental, ethical and satirical effects not only to embellish romantic stories by their figurative and pictorial meaning, but also and above all to ensure a playful and didactic function in the training of individuals. The insertion of this discourse in the literary text reflects the influence of civilization, better of orality in Negro-African literature. Thus, its use appears as a sign of maturity or culture. It approaches the procedures of irony from a semantic-pragmatic and enunciative perspective in order to highlight the subjectivity of the speaker and the effects generated by these uses on the reception of the message. Thus, the objective is to describe the kinetics of him, as anaphora and cataphor of the represented element. The study demonstrates that the presence and absence of indices of subjectivity, which reinforce the thematization of this pronoun, would contribute to distinguishing the style of Djombo, to aestheticize his text and to convert his fiction into populist discourse. With a dual psychomechanical and pragmatic approach, we analyze the syntactic figures used and the stylistic effects targeted by the author. We show that the author avoids three-element structures for the sake of brevity and literality. It mobilizes exclusively the elliptical structures with a single element (lui + Ø) and with two elements (lui + SN + Ø / SN + lui + Ø) in which lui is sometimes reinforced by means of a prepositive locution (as for), d an indefinite adjective “even” or an adverb (also), to get as many readers as possible to adhere to his vision of the world that he shares. This paper focuses on this relationship and defines language as a mirror of the people. In order to show this, we start from a general hypothesis according to which language and the people maintain an ontological and spiritual relationship. This relationship is sometimes positive, sometimes negative. However, we have noted in conclusion that language is a powerful instrument of social cohesion, unity and communion. This position had the privilege of being the answer to a question that guided our reflection. From a methodological point of view, the study was based on a qualitative approach. This allowed us to better understand certain fundamental notions and to appreciate the semantics of the relationship between language and people. At the level of theoretical reference, sociolinguistics enabled us to carry out a detailed demonstration. This demonstration was done in two parts. Firstly, it was an analysis of the language-people dynamic. Secondly, it was a question of analysing language as a linguistic paradox. The aim is to analyse three functional contexts of adjectives that create a particularity of style in journalists' writing: the art of criticizing, representing and characterizing current events and facts. In order to deal with adjectives, we have used a corpus collected in the Semaine Africaine. Thus, the aim is to show that adjectival metaphor has a descriptive and persuasive motivation and that it generates stylistic effects in journalistic language. In the application of pragmatics, our results showed that adjectival metaphor offers journalists an expressive, aesthetic, sincere and photographic style and that it becomes a practice of argumentation in the Congolese written press.","PeriodicalId":153931,"journal":{"name":"Cahiers Africains de rhétorique","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129692829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proverb is a multifunctional instrument which intervenes in the socialization of the child. It plays several functions, but as regards our study, we will only discuss two : the pedagogical function and the rhetorical function. The choice of these aforementioned functions is explained by the fact that in the context of the education of a child, the proverb is, and remains a necessary tool which allows to support him in the acquisition of knowledge and in the development of language by exercising it in wisdom, one of the cardinal values of Kimuntu. So, we proceeded by Interviews and Participant observation for the collection data on the field investigation. The thematic content analysis approach of Mucchielli (1996) and relativized functionalism of Merton (1968) will be used to analyze our paremic corpus.
