Faisol, Delami Delami","doi":"10.15548/diwan.v14i1.688","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.15548/diwan.v14i1.688","url":null,"abstract":"This paper describes the application of the theory of the principle of cooperation in a prayer competition event held by one of the famous television stations in Egypt, namely Iqra 'Al-Fadhaiyyah. The data from this research are theutterances delivered by all speech participants (jury, presenters, participants) who are in the event. Using thetheory coined by Paul Grice Herbeur, namely the theory of the principle of cooperation which includes four maxims (rules): maxim of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relevance and maxim of manner. Next, it discusses the factors that cause violations of the cooperative principle using the SPEAKING theory which was coined by Dell Hymes. This studyuses a stylistic approach that focuses its study on forms of linguistic formation, especially those contained in literarytexts. Stylistics is intended to explain the function of beauty in the use of certain linguistic forms, from aspects of sound, structure, lexical, figurative language, rhetorical means, to graphology. The data obtained in this study is data taken from a book entitled Ad-Dakhiil Fii Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Al-Hadiitsah Wa Lahjaatihaa. The researcher took data with Indonesian criteria which were absorbed into Arabic in the book, entered it into the data record, then the researcher conducted a descriptive analysis of the data. Based on the data obtained and through a literature review of various relevant literature, as well as an analysis of matters relating to research problems, it was found that 11 Indonesian vocabularies were absorbed into Arabic in the book Mu'jam Ad-Dakhiil Fii AlLughah Al -Arabiyyah Al-Hadiitsah Wa Lahjaatihaa by Sheikh Vaniyambadi Abdur Rahim. The vocabulary includes gelatin, Indonesia, bamboo, exchange, kitchen, rupiah, Singapore, soy sauce, cassowary, fluent, mango. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian filologi. Objek penelitian ini adalah naskah Hikayat Wasiat Luqman al-Hakim. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian filologi yang disesuaikan dengan tahapan penelitian dan metode deskriptif. Pada tahap pengumpulan data menggunakan metode studi pustaka, pada tahap deskripsi naskah digunakan metode deskriptif, tahap alih aksara menggunakan metode alih aksara, tahap alih bahasa menggunakan metode alih bahasa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) deskripsi naskah Hikayat Wasiat Luqman al-Hakim, (2) alih aksara teks dilakukan dari bahasa Arab-Melayu ke dalam bahasa Latin, (3) alih bahasa teks dilakukan dari bahasa Melayu ke bahasa Indonesia yang disesuaikan dengan Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (EBI). Naskah Hikayat Wasiat Luqman al-Hakim berisi penjelasan tentang seorang hamba Allah bernama Luqman al-Hakim yang mendapatkan hikmah dari Allah yaitu kesempurnaan diri dengan ilmu pengetahuan yang dimiliki dan selalu mengedepankan hal-hal yang utama. Contrastive analysis is a method that plays an important role in linguistic analysis whether it is a comparison between two or more languages to explore similarities and differences between the two languages. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study using a hermeneutic and cultural communicative approach. The author uses this hermeneutic approach to find the meaning of the interpretation of the Arabic proverbial text and the English proverb. Meanwhile, the communicative culture approach is used as an attempt to translate the meanings of symbols of two or more cultures that are reflected in the literary text, then the two are contrasted. The implicit cultural value can be found in the communication process through the terms found in the translation and equivalent of the proverb text, which can be in harmony with the original meaning of the two. The findings in this study are that the application of contrastive analysis has shown the equivalent and appropriate meaning and function represented by Arabic and English proverbs about patience, determination, indiscipline, youth, and truth. This study focuses on discussing the communicative forms and functions of illocutionary speech acts contained in the Mie Indomie advertising poster for the 2019-2020 period, as well as what speech modes are used when marketing the product. All of the focus of this research will be dissected by using the theory of illocutionary speech acts proposed by Searle. The results showed that during the 2019-2020 period, the Mie Indomie company launched 18 advertising posters. Where out of these 18 advertisement posters, 12 Mie Indomie advertisement posters use declarative speech mode, 4 advertisement posters use imperative speech mode, and 2 posters use interrogative speech mode. With the results found from the Uwais Al Qarni film, the special conversation implicatures are 11 data with the form and form of accusation 2 data, request 3 data, ridicule 1 data, rejection 4 data, hyperbolic 1 data. The data in this study were the documentation of comments on national and international news posted on the Youtube channel of national online news portal such as Tribun, Kompas and Liputan 6. It was found that religious Schadenfreude among Indonesian netizens exists in two major situations: Inter-religious relationship and within the religion itself. This phenomenon occurs in an empathetic situation in the form of religious stereotyping, trash-talking other religions and beliefs, the satisfaction of other’s misfortune. To conclude, the religious schadenfreude phenomenon among Indonesian netizens more likely occurs because society focus on the difference exists within the community. Code-switching help speaker and hearer share the ability to speak more than one language. This research was focused on the code-switching that was done by the lecturer, the most common type that appeared in the classroom interaction and the function of the code-switching found in the analysis. Descriptive qualitative research was applied in this research which the data got from the interaction of the lecturer and students in the classroom in teaching and learning English for Arabic students. Based on the analysis, in the classroom interaction, the three types of code-switching was found; tag-switching, inter-sentential switching and intra-sentential (Romaine, 1995). The most common type found in the interaction was intra-sentential switching. The used of code-switching in the classroom interaction was to improve language skills, give clarification, emphasis the topic, and make good relation with interlocutor that was the Arabic students.
