Complexity of this task can be greatly reduced via the usage of linear identities among Feynman integrals. Based on mathematical theory of intersection numbers, recently a new method for derivation of such identities and decomposition of Feynman integrals was introduced and applied to many non-trivial examples. In this note based on [1] we discuss the latest developments in algorithms for the evaluation of intersection numbers, and their application to the reduction of Feynman integrals.","PeriodicalId":151433,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Loops and Legs in Quantum Field Theory — PoS(LL2022)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116995440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this talk, we start from the factorisation structure of scattering amplitudes in the collinear limit, and we introduce collinear functions that have a process-independent structure. These collinear functions, which are defined at the fully-differential level, can then be integrated over the appropriate observable-dependent phase space to compute logarithmically-enhanced contributions to the corresponding observable. For transverse-momentum dependent observables, we show how the collinear functions can be defined without introducing what is known as rapidity divergences in the literature. We present the results of explicit computations of the collinear functions up to next-to-next-to-leading order in the QCD perturbation theory.","PeriodicalId":151433,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Loops and Legs in Quantum Field Theory — PoS(LL2022)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128321367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While at the one-loop level these diagrams di(cid:27)er only by the position of the external legs along a (cid:28)xed line or loop, at multiloop they generally involve di(cid:27)erent topolo-gies. Here we summarize various e(cid:27)orts that have been made over the years to exploit this property in a computationally meaningful way. As a (cid:28)rst example, we show how to generalize the Landau-Khalatnikov-Fradkin formula for the non-perturbative gauge transformation of the fermion propagator in QED to the general 2 n - point case by pure manipulations at the path-integral level. At the parameter-integral level, we show how to integrate out individual photons in the low-energy expansion, and then sketch a recently introduced general framework for the analytical evaluation of such worldline integrals involving a reduction to quantum mechanics on the circle and the relation between inverse derivatives and Bernoulli polynomials.","PeriodicalId":151433,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Loops and Legs in Quantum Field Theory — PoS(LL2022)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116267455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The traditional BMHV scheme employs a non-anticommuting 𝛾 5 . Its key advantage is mathematical consistency and the existence of all-order proofs. Its disadvantage is the spurious breaking of gauge invariance in chiral gauge theories like the electroweak standard model. Our research programme aims to determine the special finite counterterms which are necessary to restore gauge invariance, to allow more straightforward applications of the BMHV scheme and to cross-check alternative schemes. In these proceedings we present the key concepts and methods, and we outline the calculational procedure and present results for an abelian gauge theory at the 2-loop level. An important observation is the simplicity of the results — three types of symmetry-restoring counterterms are sufficient at the 2-loop level.","PeriodicalId":151433,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Loops and Legs in Quantum Field Theory — PoS(LL2022)","volume":"2 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120985100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
