This study uses a quantitative research type where there are two variables, namely fingerprint attendance and works motivation as independent variables and employee discipline as the dependent variable, using data sources including primary, secondary, population, and sample data. . Data collection methods used are interviews, distributing questionnaires to several respondents and documenting data or variables in the form of notes, and so on. As well as using measuring tools in the form of validity and reliability to see the validity and reliability of the research results in Cronbach alpha, then using data analysis methods using multiple regression analysis methods which are used to determine the effect of the independent variable and the dependent variable partially and simultaneously, namely the fingerprint attendance variable. From the results of this study, it was seen partially with the T-test that fingerprint attendance did not significantly affect employee discipline at CV Hikayat Cipta Semesta, while the work motivation variable had a significant effect on employee discipline at CV Hikayat Cipta Semesta. Furthermore, the simultaneous influence test with the F test, shows that fingerprint attendance and work motivation have a significant effect on employee discipline. From the results of this research, it is hoped that it can be useful for all parties, especially in improving employee discipline.","PeriodicalId":150862,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Office","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121334278","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Employee performance is examined in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic as a result of high-performance work practices (training, empowerment, and incentives). The findings suggest that the chosen high-performance work practices of media employees during COVID-19 had a poor association. Having a negative association with performance nullifies the current evidence of empowerment. Public media administrators must design standard operating practices that take into account the current upheavals. Performance may be improved by using organizational resources and time in a manner that fosters trust between the employer and the employee. The links are examined in the context of the fourth industrial revolution. While studying high-performance work practices and media worker performance in a developing nation, this is a novel addition. The result shows a lack of trust among the media employees, which might lead to the abuse of authority. As a result, media organizations must put in place sufficient checks and balances before empowering their staff. Since the recent epidemic of COVID-19, employees may be more inclined to take advantage of the technology development.","PeriodicalId":150862,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Office","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115483301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the effectiveness of emotional appeals can vary depending on the age group of the target audience. Understanding how emotional appeals work among different age groups is essential for marketers to design more effective advertising strategies. The objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of emotional appeals in advertising among different age groups in Indonesia. This study employed a comparative research design, using a sample of 400 respondents from three age groups (young adults, middle-aged adults, and elderly adults). A survey questionnaire was used to collect data on respondents' emotional responses to different types of emotional appeals used in advertising. The results of this study showed that emotional appeals are more effective among young adults compared to middle-aged and elderly adults. Moreover, the study found that different types of emotional appeals (e.g., fear, humor, and nostalgia) have varying degrees of effectiveness among different age groups.","PeriodicalId":150862,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Office","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122282819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is assumed that the greater student satisfaction with a lecturer’s teaching style equates to better teaching performance by the lecturer. Current research has established that students satisfaction level within a university learning environment correlates with the lecturers teaching performance. The present study took place within a university examining students and lecturers in the Faculty of Economics at Makassar State University in Indonesia. The sample comprised 81 individuals who were investigated using a correlational descriptive study model. Data were gathered through questionnaires and the study of documents and then further analysed using a regression model that consisted of R2, F, t, and determination tests. Findings were that a lecturer’s performance, which involves preparation, opening, core, and closing activities in a lesson, positively and significantly correlated with student satisfaction levels.","PeriodicalId":150862,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Office","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122265260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
