In this case, the intermediate facility is considered as a drop box facility that is placed in a location that is easily accessible to the end customer. In addition, the use of drop box facilities can reduce costs incurred by shipping goods or material. The problem is addressed as an optimization model that formulated into an integer linear programming model denoted as the two-echelon vehicle routing problem with drop box facilities (2EVRP-DF). The objective is to minimize the cost of transportation with regards to the vehicle travelling cost, and the additional cost to compensate the customer that needs to travel to access the intermediate facilities. The aim of this study is to compare 2E-VRPDF model with the current practice (CP) whereas in this case the customer directly travel to the depot to drop their goods. At the end of this study shows the effectiveness of 2EVRP-DF by reducing transportation costs by 47.03% compared to current practice.","PeriodicalId":150494,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 International Conference on E-business and Mobile Commerce","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132796357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pilot test consisted of 312 participants who stated that they were working in the telecommuting modality. The items were formulated after having carried out an exhaustive review of the literature to later be evaluated by experts who guaranteed the content of the construct. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes were applied to evaluate the proposed model, the results revealed a one-dimensional scale with a good fit of the model that met all the CMIN, DF, CMIN/DF, CFI, SRMR, RMSEA and PClose indicators satisfactorily. In this way, this scale allows the authors to provide the scientific and business community with a reliable instrument to be applied both in future research and to evaluate workers in organizations where they work in virtual environments.","PeriodicalId":150494,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 International Conference on E-business and Mobile Commerce","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124784297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different from traditional financial assets, the price of Bitcoin is extremely volatile. Therefore, investors need to choose an appropriate asset portfolio to hedge the risk of bitcoin with traditional financial assets. Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) networks are the most advanced sequential learning methods in deep learning of time series prediction, which can accurately predict the prices of financial assets and thus provide traders with the most profitable asset portfolio. In this paper, LSTM-CNN asset price prediction models are developed with data of gold and bitcoin in 2016-2021 as research samples to obtain return maximizing trading strategy. The contribution of this study is to apply deep learning to financial asset price prediction to improve the prediction accuracy and use it as a basis for asset allocation.","PeriodicalId":150494,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 International Conference on E-business and Mobile Commerce","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115895986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The impacts of cost-sharing in carbon abatement investment on the operational decisions and performance of the system are explored. Results show that the cost-sharing of the retailer will not affect its own wholesale price quotation and the production decision of the manufacturer but increase carbon abatement level of the system and bring a positive environmental externality. Furthermore, when the proportion of cost-sharing of the retailer is smaller than a threshold, the joint “economic-environmental” benefit of the system will be enhanced.","PeriodicalId":150494,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 International Conference on E-business and Mobile Commerce","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127516803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the evidence that High-Growth Firms (HGFs) contribute significantly to economic growth, empirical literature falls short on exploring the link between HGFs and productivity in Portugal. Using panel data form SABI and Quadros do Pessoal, this paper investigates the link between HGFS’ output growth [size] and productivity growth, across sectors and regions. The sample comprises 432 large firms, for 2015-2019, of which 16 are HGFs. Results confirm the link between size and productivity growth, but in what concerns HGFs this link only occurs in firms located in The Metropolitan Are of Lisbon operating in Publishing activities.","PeriodicalId":150494,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 International Conference on E-business and Mobile Commerce","volume":"179 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132455379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
