For the purpose of enhancing the power characteristic of the motor, GO is applied to the stator tooth, as the magnetic flux path of the tooth part is relatively uniform at radial direction. The comparison models of each applications have the same structure and only the tooth material is changed to conduct the performance comparison under the equivalent current conditions. In particular, the specifications of the test operating points, such as speed and torque, were separately determined considering the driving characteristics of each application. A detailed analysis of the GO application effect of both models was carried out according to the current density and rotation speed, and the iron loss, torque, and efficiency at each test point were compared. Due to the narrow operating speed range and lower maximum speed of the HEV and superior magnetic characteristics of the GO, the HEV showed larger iron loss reduction ratio, torque increasement, and efficiency increasement compared with BEV.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128691831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the high-speed region, the sampling number of pole-voltage is limited by the maximum switching frequency. Dual-side (high-side and low-side) PWM approach in the unipolar switching method is adopted to increase the sampling number in the non-excitation region. The detected pole-voltages are converted to the $alpha beta$-axis voltage of the stationary reference frame to remove the phase shift delay of phase pole-voltage and to get the continuous angle position. Rotor position can be estimated by the converted $alpha beta$-axis voltage, considering the sampling delay of the analog-to-digital conversion and the low-pass filter in the high-speed region. The proposed method is verified by experiments, and the results are compared to that of the conventional sensorless control. The proposed method shows an improved performance in the high-speed region because of the increased sampling numbers of the proposed dual-side PWM method.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128923020","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the application of high-frequency SiC inverter, the time scale is reduced below μs-level, as a result, the computation speed becomes an unignorable challenge for HIL system because of the strict real-time constraint. Under these circumstances, the development and applications of hardware with parallel process structure such as FPGA is a solution for computation acceleration on the hardware level. On the software level, unfortunately, most of the state-of-the-art numerical models and algorithms are based on sequential mechanism, as a result, the parallel algorithm is demanded to achieve further acceleration. This paper proposes a general method based on computation front to design parallel algorithm for real-time simulation. By analyzing numerical flow diagram, numerical integration method is optimized to realize acceleration derived from parallel segmentation. Simulation results show that good acceleration effect without great accuracy reduction is achieved.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114424200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, take a motor with 9 slots and 6 poles as an example, the spatial and temporal orders of the force harmonics under the stator stationary reference frame and rotor rotating reference frame are derived. Both the theoretical analysis and the finite element method (FEM) demonstrate the differences between the force harmonic characteristics under the two reference frames. Then the radial and tangential vibrations on the stator and rotor are simulated and compared. The orders of force harmonics dominantly causing vibration and torque ripple are identified, respectively. The force harmonics, vibration and torque ripple are compared with motors before and after torque optimization as examples, and the intrinsic relation among them is revealed accordingly to give recommendations for optimization.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"52 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120924325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, parasitic capacitance (CP) occurs between the distributed power input module and the ground due to the structural characteristics and installation structure of the distributed power system. In order to reduce the leakage current generated by the PCS for distributed power generation, and since the leakage current is affected by the common mode voltage, the size of the common mode voltage can be reduced and the leakage current blocked by using the insulation characteristics of the transformer. However, in the IT grounding method using a transformer, the leakage current, which is a zero component, cannot pass through the transformer, but a leakage current path is created due to the parasitic capacitance (CT) existing inside the transformer. In addition to the transformer, a new leakage current path occurs through the cable impedance depending on the cable length, and the leakage current increases after adding cable impedance compared to not adding it. Therefore, in this paper, the validity of the equivalent circuit was verified by analyzing the before and after adding of cable impedance in the IT grounding method through PCS modeling and comparing it with the experimental results.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124108440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
