If a deep learning algorithm is used, the above process is omitted. This is replaced by a lot of data. However, the number of data that can be collected is limited. This is because the degree of failure and the condition of the motor are different in each situation. To solve this problem, research on data propagation using FEM (Finite Element Method) is in progress. FEM is used to check whether the propagated data is similar to classical theory and whether it can be used as training data for deep learning algorithms. Through these experiments, it was confirmed that the FEM data is data that helps in learning the deep learning algorithm that can classify the initial failure state.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122818715","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the possibility that foreign object exists between transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) coils would be a potential hazard to such wireless power transfer (WPT). Electric signals such as inductance, current or output power can be used to perceive the existence of the object. But size or location of the object still cannot be known, so it is difficult to estimate the degree of risk. Plus, the possibility of misalignment also makes it difficult to determine which of the two situations. Therefore, we analyze the magnetic field distribution using sensing coils on the Tx side. In this paper, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation and experiment for WPT system were conducted in terms of electrical parameters and magnetic field distributions.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121288323","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, switched reluctance machines (SRMs) are proposed for FESS application. Without permanent magnet, SRM is at a disadvantage in terms of efficiency. An SRM with high pole and phase number is preferred to overcome this problem and the appropriate topology must first be selected to satisfy the design requirements of a FESS. Finite element analysis (FEA) is employed to observe the characteristics of the SRMs. Some design considerations are described also in this paper. Simulations verify the performance of the machines, but further optimization is required to achieve optimum performance.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130896953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper studies the influence of different rotor structures on the torque ripple and electromagnetic vibration of the PMSM. Taking a PMSM with 9 slots and 6 poles (9s6p) as example, simulation results show that its electromagnetic vibration is mainly caused by the electromagnetic force with the 3rd spatial order and the 2nd time order. The vibration can be reduced, without compromising the torque, by optimizing the motor geometric parameters. Finally, vibration test of the PMSM is carried out, and the experiment results verify the simulation.","PeriodicalId":148762,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 5th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134285533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since DP uses recursive function, coding is simple and easy to implement. However, all cases should be calculated to implement DP. Due to this characteristic, the unnecessary calculation rate increases as the model grows for implementation of DP. In this paper, learning is applied to DP for reduction of calculation complexity. As an electric scooter has limited travel distance and time due to its limited battery capacity, it requires regenerative braking that regenerates kinetic energy during braking operation. However, unlike electric vehicles, the electric scooter has its own operating conditions according its environment of use, so the regenerative braking method suitable for the electric scooter should be applied. In this paper, three braking methods used in electric scooters are selected, the characteristics of each method are compared and analyzed, and a braking method suitable for electric scooters is derived. The tangential force density $mathrm{F}_{mathrm{td}}$ can be derived in order to obtain some feeling for the magnitude of the tangential force. Under the same conditions, with aid of the 2D finite element analysis, tangential force density for rotating electrical motors is calculated. To verify the validity of the analyses, a prototype of vernier motor with 2 air-gaps and 2 coils (inner and outer coils) is fabricated and tested. Experimental shows that the tangential force density of vernier motor with 2 air-gaps and 2 coils is significantly higher than the conventional SPM motor.
