While the position of the PMs may fluctuate as a result of centrifugal and electromagnetic forces, this may impair motor performance, particularly for high-speed PMSMs. In this paper, Maxwell stress tensor method and finite element method are used to analyze the force applied to PMs. A 1. 6kW,18krpm motor is employed to analyze the effect of PM location on motor performance.
