With ratios of important design variables and simplified equivalent magnetic circuit, flux linkage is determined at load and no-load condition. The number of turns of windings can be calculated by considering the amplitude of applied voltage, and rated current, coil diameter, and winding area can be obtained with the help of empirical formula for determining required magnetomotive force (MMF). Some of the devices developed in the past years include mechanical, hydraulic, motor-driven and electromagnetic actuators. Existing most advanced system is an electromagnetic actuator using solenoids to activate engine valves. It, however, needs the current continuously in all operation period and has difficult starting problem resulting in low power efficiency. Electrolytic codeposition technique was adopted in the deposition of Ni-Fe-SiC composite coating on stainless steel substrate, using nickel alloyed with iron as the binder phase and SiC as dispersed particles. The morphology analysis indicated that the deposit with SiC nanoparticles is level and compact and the crystal-planes of the deposit are (111), (220) and (200). The resistivity of deposit is about 30×10−8 Ω·m. When the loading of Fe (wt.%) range from 10% to 50% in the deposit, the electrodeposit has a strong paramagnetism effect with the smallest coercivity of 2.75×10−2 A/m. The remanence shows a monotonic decrease with the increasing of iron content in deposit. Weighted extended basis splines in the finite element method is employed to calculate the steady-state temperature distribution in a normal human eye. In this paper, the results are verified with experimental results obtained by previous studies on human as well as animal eyes with finite element computational results. This paper proposed a design method that can result in motors that show low-cost and high output characteristics. An optimally designed flat type IPMSM and a V type IPMSM was design. For the design, a novel method considering d-axis armature reaction was used and a novel design equation is proposed.
