The study was conducted in Klambir Lima Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level. This research was conducted from January to April 2022. The research method used was a single factor Randomized Block Design (RAK). These factors consisted of 4 treatments, namely: K0 (control), K1 (200 ml/liter water/plot), K2 (400 ml/liter water/plot) and K3 (600 ml/liter water/plot). Parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, number of leaves, number of tubers per sample, tuber diameter, wet weight of sample per sample, and wet tubers per plot. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance. If the results of the analysis of varieties have a significant difference at = 5%, then proceed with the DMRT test (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The method used in this study was a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) using cocopeat as a planting medium whit a level of A0: rop soil + goat manure (9 kg/pot + 1 kg/pot), A1 : cocopeat + goat manure (5 kg/pot + 1 kg/pot), A2 : top soil + cocopeat + goat manure ( 5 kg/pot + 5 kg/pot + 1 kg/pot). Based on the results of research that has been carried out, cocopeat planting media 5 kg/pot + goat manure 1 kg/pot is the best combination of planting media from all planting media treatments that have been tested in this tudy, the number of flower the number of productive branches, the number of fruit, and fruit weigh of cayenne pepper. This research also analyzes the improvement efforts that need to be done in increasing the productivity of coconut plants and make maps of actual land suitability and potential land suitability of coconut plants in Secanggang District. As well as providing recommendations for fertilization on coconut plantations. This research was conducted using a survey method consisting of four stages of activity, namely preparation, main survey, soil analysis and data processing. It can be seen from the results of this study that the potential land suitability of coconut in Secanggang District is S3 f and n (marginally according to nutrient retention factors and nutrient availability) in the Village of Kepala Sungai, Tanjung Ibus, Karang Gading, Perkotaan and Telaga Jernih. S3 f (marginally according to nutrient retention factor) in Karang Anyar, Kebun Kelapa, Secanggang, Selotong, Pantai Gading, and Teluk Village. S2 w, f and n (enough according to the limiting factors of water availability, nutrient retention and nutrient availability) exist in Sei Ular and Hinai Kiri villages. The with improvement efforts to the limiting factor of nutrient retention by adding organic matter, the limiting factor of low nutrient availability is by fertilizing. Hal ini disebabkan budidaya kopi yang dilakukan selama ini tidak intensif. Rendahnya perhatian petani selama budidaya kopi juga dipicu pertumbuhan kopi yang ditanam tidak optimal. Bibit yang baik merupakan modal keberhasilan pertumbuhan tanaman di lapangan karena mampu berproduksi secara optimal. Perbanyakan tanaman kopi dapat dilakukan secara generatif dan vegetatif. Perbanyakan secara generatif menggunakan biji. Kendala dalam perbanyakan kopi secara generatif adalah biji kopi memerlukan waktu cukup lama untuk berkecambah.. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknologi Benih Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Andalas Kampus 3 Dharmasraya dari bulan Juli sampai dengan September 2022. Parameter yang diamati adalah bobot benih awal (g), bobot benih setelah perlakuan (g), kadar air benih awal (%), kadar air benih setelah perlakuan (%). Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pengamatan bobot benih awal, kadar air benih awal menunjukkan tidak berpengaruh nyata. Pengendalian serangga hama dapat menggunakan aplikasi pestisida ataupun menggunakan perangkap. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelimpahan serangga pada masing masing perangkap terhadap beberapa teknik pengendalian berbeda. Metode eksperimental yang digunakan yaitu dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal, terdapat 6 ulangan dan 4 perlakuan yang terdiri dari : Pengendalian  Sintetik (PS),Pengendalian Kombinasi (PK), Pengendalian Biointensif (PB), dan Kontrol (K). Pengambilan sampel serangga dilakukan sebanyak 13 kali pada 1-13 mst dengan menggunakan 3 jenis perangkap yaitu lubang jebakan (pitfall trap), perangkap kuning lengket (yellow sticky trap) dan jaring serangga (sweep net). Data yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan sidik ragam, dan apabila hasilnya berbeda nyata dilanjut dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kelimpahan tertinggi terdapat pada petak kontrol (26.935 individu) dan terendah pada pengendalian  sintetik (15.788 Individu). Pengendalian sintetik berbeda nyata dengan pengendalian biointensif, pengendalian kombinasi dan kontrol pada rerata kelimpahan keseluruhan,  yellow sticky trap dan pada rerata kelimpahan pitfall trap pengendalian biointensif tidak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan pengendalian sintetik tetapi berbeda nyata dengan pengendalian kombinasi dan kontrol. Pada sweep net mengahasilkan tidak berbeda nyata untuk semua pengendalian akan tetapi pengendalian sintetik memberikan rerata kelimpahan terendah yaitu 481.33 individu. Pada yellow sticky trap memberikan kelimpahan tertinggi yaitu 69.239 individu dibandingkan pitfall trap (9.835 individu) dan sweep net (14.347 individu). Hal ini menunjukan penggunaan pestisida sintetik mampu menurunkan kelimpahan serangga. This study aims to obtain the best agronomic character as a result the application of various active ingredientson corn crops (Zea mays) of the variety of Pioneer 36. The research method used was an experimental method, with a single-factor group randomize design, consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments of plant pest management consists of control (C), combination management (CM) a.i. PGPR, macro nutrient and micro nutrient; biointensive management (BM) a.i. Trichoderma hamatum and rice husk ash; synthetic management (SM) a.i. pyraclostrobin. The data obtained were analyzed variance and if the results were significantly different, it was followed by the least significant difference (LSD) at the level of 5%. The results showed that, the CM treatments gave the highest results on plant height (10,66 cm-248,78 cm) and the number of rows per cob (14,18). One of the efforts that can be done to increase coffee production is to improve the quality of seeds. There are many obstacles in this effort because coffee needs to use several ways to speed up germination. One of the characteristics of coffee that makes it difficult to germinate is that the seeds are slimy and hard, this can be overcome by using onion extract. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 factors and 2 blocks to obtain 32 research plots. Factor I. . The soaking time of the shallot extract (B) consists of 4 levels, namely: B0 : 0 without soaking, B1 : 3 hours, B2: 6 hours, B3 :9 hours. Factor II. Comparison of planting media with the symbol (K) which consists of 4 levels, namely: K0: topsoil, K1: compost, K2: compost + cow dung fertilizer (1:1), K3: compost + cow dung + husk charcoal. (1:1: 1). The research procedure consisted of Making Shallot Extract, Making Coffee Skin Compost, Making Cow Manure Organic Fertilizer, Analysis of Coffee Skin Compost, Analysis of Cow Manure Organic Fertilizer, Selection of Coffee Seeds, Stages of Seedling, Duration of Soaking Red Onion Extract, Stage of Sowing Coffee Beans, Determination of Sample Plants, Maintenance. The aim of this study is to deterine the effectiveness of the concentration of gambir leaf extract (U. gambir Roxb), against the  mortality of fire caterpillarpest (S.asigna). Research was arrenged in anonfactorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 treatments, namely U0: No Application (Control), U1: Application with 8% gambier leaf extract, U2: Application with 16% gambier leaf extract, U3: Application with 24% gambier leaf extract and U4: Application with 32% gambier leaf extract. The research was conducted using survey techniques and descriptive methods. The results showed that paddy fields that were given organic fertilizer for 8-10 years had higher organic C than non-organic paddy fields, namely an average of 2.10-2.70%. In organically managed paddy soils also showed a significant positive relationship between soil organic C and NH4+-dd in MS paddy soils containing clay minerals 1:1 (r= 0.71) and NK paddy soils (r= 0 .64) and PB (r= 0.77) which were dominated by clay minerals 2:1. Cendawan entomopatogen Lecanicillium lecanii merupakan salah satu agens hayati yang dapat digunakan untuk mengendalikan berbagai jenis serangga hama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi cendawan entomopotagen L. lecanii untuk mengendalikan imago C. formicarius. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dan rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dalam 6 kali ulangan : Kontrol (Aquades); 106 konidia/ml; 107 konidia/ml; 108 konidia/ml. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap hari selama 10 hari setelah aplikasi (hsa) dengan menghitung 10 imago C. formicarius yang mati akibat disemprot dengan suspensi cendawan L. lecanii sebanyak 1 ml/perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerapatan konidia L. lecanii 108 konida/ml memberikan hasil paling efektif terhadap mortalitas C. formicarius sebesar 50% dengan nilai LT50 sebesar 10,024 hari.
