In this paper we analyze the phenomenon using the complex concept of innovation since academic studies providing a clear understanding of Cloud computing from an innovation perspective have been scarce. First, we comprehended various attributes of technology innovation and its types derived from various streams of technological innovation literature and then explored the Cloud computing characteristics by asking `what type of technological innovation is the Cloud?' and found that Cloud phenomenon appears to satisfy most of the aspects of technological innovation types. The findings from this study could be starting point for practitioners to conceptualize Cloud computing using innovation concept and then develop informed business strategies.","PeriodicalId":148200,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Management of Innovation and Technology","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114446954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dislodged materials from the seabed, i.e. dredged marine soils, are generally disposed of as a geowaste. This paper examines the potential reuse of the dredged materials within a comprehensive framework of technological feasibility, environmental soundness and knowledge creation (SAKET management system). The existing multi-discipline knowledge base serves as a vast reservoir of good practices to be adopted and moulded into the proposed system. The environmental background and impact that are related to the reuse mechanism need to be thoroughly investigated and determined too. The background data enables an informed selection of relevant technology to be implemented in the reuse exercise of dredged marine soils, which could lead to technological integration and innovation for optimum outputs. The subsequent monitoring and reviews would then create new insights and understanding to enrich the existing knowledge base, i.e. a full circle return. The proposed SAKET framework aims to provide a handling and management system of dredged marine soils which is simultaneously proactive and responsive, while being sufficiently flexible and predictive to ensure effective operational outputs with efficient utilization of the resources available. In short, the framework would embrace existing know-how in the folds of technological advances and innovations to develop an all-encompassing management system for reusing the dredged marine soils in a responsible manner for long term benefits.","PeriodicalId":148200,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Management of Innovation and Technology","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124742449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Institutional reasons are discussed and we also find some other problems existed, such as weakness in driving forces & mechanisms, weak innovation capability & core competence, bureaucratic culture embarrassment, low level collaborative innovation networks. Based on the problems, we introduce a Total Innovation Management Paradigm to give some advices on the firm innovation system of China's large scale enterprise. Firstly, a suggested incentive five driving forces model is introduced. Secondly, the way to leverage innovation capabilities and the way from secondary innovation to original innovation is discussed.","PeriodicalId":148200,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Management of Innovation and Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122504868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By understanding individual information adopting behavior on travel websites, the tourism industry can share suitable information and offer efficient service. This paper discusses the motivators (utilitarian component of usefulness and hedonic component of enjoyment) for individual information adoption on travel websites and investigates how individual information adopting behavior is affected by the information features (i.e. central cues and peripheral cues) provided by travel websites. We also analyze the effects of perceived risk. We integrate the modified motivational technology acceptance model with the information adoption model (which is based on the elaboration likelihood model) to build a research model. The expected theoretical and practical contributions are proposed.","PeriodicalId":148200,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Management of Innovation and Technology","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123602871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A forecasting model working on the basis of Gompertz curve has been developed. Scenarios of rapid, moderate, and slow growth has been simulated by taking the case of Indonesia, in which the LTE frequency bands were assumed to be 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz. The number of LTE transceiver sites development depends on the MIMO configuration of the chosen LTE technical specifications. It is found that moderate growth scenario has the stable and controllable growth with its rate below 10%. This scenario should be enforced with LTE commonality for regions throughout the country. This scenario could be viewed as the most reasonable way to implement LTE in Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":148200,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Management of Innovation and Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130703331","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
