This helps individual blocks of memory and logic to test themselves. Unfortunately, pseudo random pattern testing methods in BIST are known to result in poor fault coverage and long test time for most sequential circuits. Employing more test vectors or using full scan could help increase the fault coverage at the expense of time and silicon area. Long test time as a result of introducing too many clock cycles is a bottleneck in test procedures. In this paper, we try to answer this problem statement. What does it take to achieve high fault coverage by sampling the results at earlier clock cycles? Out of these techniques, imaging techniques are less invasive while being able to show blockage of sinus cavities. However, the potential of these techniques have not been fully realised as the images obtained are still bound to misinterpretations. This project attempts to solve this problem by developing an algorithm for the computerized segmentation of sinus images for the detection of sinusitis. The image enhancement techniques used were median filtering and the Contrast Limited Adapted Histogram Equalisation (CLAHE) method. These techniques applied on input images managed to reduce noise and smoothen the image histogram. Multilevel thresholding algorithms were developed to segment the images into meaningful regions for the detection and diagnosis of sinusitis. These algorithms were able to extract important features from the images. The software used for simulations is MATLAB. Simulations were performed on images of healthy sinuses and sinuses with sinusitis. However, accurate gait analysis require large amount of data and lengthy assessment times. Therefore this paper presents the initial study of a system which was developed with the intention to provide clinicians a solution to acquire gait parameters and detect anomalies with ease and comfort. The system consists of four force sensitive resistors and two inertial sensors to obtain ground contact force measurements and knee joint angles, respectively, during walking. Emphasis is made on the software application which was designed to be used in a clinical environment which allows users to perform gait analysis without in-depth knowledge on the software or hardware. The software application facilitates the real time acquisition of kinematic and kinetic gait parameters, intelligent gait phase detection and data storage for later reference. The designed system is a black box to the users, and the user can communicate to the hardware with the developed user-friendly GUI. The gait parameters and the gait phases detected are illustrated in a graphical and tabular form which aids to determine the presence of abnormalities, and the instance of deformation occurrences. The proposed method is based on hybrid of Tabu Search (TS) and Nelder-Mead (NM) Simplex algorithm. This method allows wide coverage of the parameters' solution space and minimizes the risk of trapping in local minima. Tabu Search explores the solution space and Nelder-Mead Simplex accelerates the convergence to a minimum. The proposed Sobel edge detection filter structure consists of 4 sets of the so-called lowpass-type 2nd order 1-D DPF (Discrete Pascal Filter) and the filter structure does not need any multipliers, only 14 adders are needed for realization. But these devices are costly and need to be placed optimally in power system. This paper analyses a sensitivity method to locate thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC) and static series synchronous condenser (SSSC) for enhancing the power system loadability. A single-link flexible joint manipulator is considered and the dynamic model of the system is derived using the Euler-Lagrange formulation. To study the effectiveness of the controllers, a linear-quadratic regulator (LQR) controller is developed for tip angular position control of a flexible joint manipulator. This is then extended to incorporate input shaper control schemes for vibration reduction of the flexible joint system. The positive zero-vibration-derivative-derivative (ZVDD) and new modified specified negative amplitude zero-vibration-derivative-derivative (SNA-ZVDD) input shapers are then designed based on the properties of the system for vibration control. The new SNA-ZVDD is proposed to improve the robustness capability while increasing the speed of the system response. Simulation results of the response of the flexible joint manipulator with the controllers are presented in time and frequency domains. The performances of the LQR with input shaping control schemes are examined in terms of input tracking capability, level of vibration reduction, robustness and time response specifications. We have shown the modeling and simulation and demonstrated some novel ideas and library development for Nano RFID and its extension for MEMS devices. Reliability and packaging still remains one the major hindrances in practical implementation of Nano RFID based devices and multi scale analysis also can be used in that area. Therefore to work on it by modeling and simulation will play a very important role. Thus incorporating this we can design a Nano-RFID which can be used in areas like human implantation and complex banking applications. We have proposed modeling of RFID using the concept of multi scale modeling to accurately predict its properties for MEMS specific applications. Also we give the modeling of MEMS devices that are proposed recently that can see possible application in RFID. RF MEMS has been matured and its devices are being successfully commercialized but taking it to limits of nano domains and integration with singly chip RFID needs a practical modeling approach which is being proposed.
