Screen cleaner and dust removing are the only operations which are being done alone in the industry. Quality assessment of spices is a very big challenge since time immemorial. In addition to inherent and hygienic features quality depends on its physical appearance, moisture content, composition which may be reflected by taste and smell too. Human sensory panel generally assess quality and such process is time consuming, unreliable and non reproducible. There is a need for some non invasive quality testing methodologies. Salleh","doi":"10.1109/CITISIA.2009.5224251","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CITISIA.2009.5224251","url":null,"abstract":"Bit-serial architectures offer a number of attractive features over their bit-parallel counterparts such as smaller area cost, lower density interconnection, a reduced number of pins, higher clock frequency, simpler routing and etc. These attractive features make them suitable for using in VLSI design and reduce overall production cost. In this paper, we propose the first least significant bit (LSB) bit-serial sum of absolute difference (SAD) hardware accelerator for integer variable block size motion estimation (VBSME) of H.264. This hardware accelerator is based on a previous state-of-art bit-parallel architecture namely propagate partial SAD. In order to reduce area cost and improve throughput, pixel truncation technique is adopted. Due to the bit-serial pipeline architecture and using small processing elements, our architecture works at much higher clock frequency (at least 4 times) and reduces area cost about 32% compared with its bit-parallel counterpart. This approach relies on two different multilayer neural networks with delayed inputs, for the purpose of identification and control. Nonlinear term in motors caused by gear-box gaps or other parts lameness is not necessary to be measured or identified for considering in controller designing using this method. However due to test of the proposed method performance, this nonlinearity term modeled by a backlash block. The VLSI designers can use minimization methods to produce high speed, inexpensive and energy-efficient integrated circuits with increased complexity. Quine-McCluskey (Q-M) is an attractive algorithm for simplifying Boolean expressions because it can handle any number of variables. This paper describes a new model for the estimation of circuit complexity, based on Quine-McCluskey simplification method. The proposed method utilizes data derived from Monte-Carlo simulations for any Boolean function with different count of variables and product term complexities. The system is proposed to reduce the program complexity of the existing M-ALPR system and to decrease the processing time of recognizing Malaysian license plates. First, the algorithm to recognize the license plates is presented, by taking advantage of Matlab and C++ programming language benefits in order to increase system efficiency. Feature extraction using vertical line counter is introduced in this system. Later, with the help of OpenCV, the hybrid fuzzy technique is developed using the C++ language. Then, the comparison between these two implementations on M-ALPR system was reported. Traditionally for data embedding in color images, the blue component is modified based on embedded data. This method fails when the picture has very low density of pixel with strong blue component. We devise an adaptive embedding scheme in which the data are embedded in blue or red component of some pixels in each video frames based on their density. This scheme requires no knowledge of the original video for the recovery of the embedded data. We experiment the proposed scheme for embedding an average of 30 bits per frame in the spatial domain of a color host video with QCIF format. Clustering based on similar terms without considering the content or meaning is often unsatisfactory as it ignores the relationship between important terms that do not co-occur literally. In this paper, we propose to integrate the Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) concept to our document clustering. This involves the use of Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) which creates a new abstract and uses a way of finding pattern document collection in matrix representation, so that it can identify between the terms and documents which are similar. By using various numbers of patterns (rank) of SVD, the proposed method is applied to cluster documents using the Fuzzy C-Means algorithm. Distribution of jobs from macro to nano scale has been shown which holds the essence of simulation at nano scale. This distribution is substantiated on MPI (Message Passing Interface) and PVM (Parallel Virtual Machine) on MATLAB, Linux and WCCS (Windows Compute Cluster Server) environments. In this paper we have shown the connections and a novel way of implementing multi scale computations on an HPC setup. We have also compared the implementation of MPI and PVM based HPC setup for MATLAB, Linux and WCCS environments. The selection criteria for identification and proposition of the tool, protocol and environment for an HPC setup plays an important role in deciding the tool to be used. Comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of each of the methodologies being put forward. MPI.NET was used under WCCS where C# was used. The latest versions were used for PVM Linux based setup where Open SUSE Linux was used as the operating system. These methods are used in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system. The OFDM employs orthogonal sub-carriers for data modulation. These sub-carriers unexpectedly present a large Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in some cases. In order to reduce PAPR, the sequence of input data is rearranged by PTS. The APPR method is also used to controls the peak level of modulation signals by an adaptive algorithm. A proposed reduction method consists of these two methods and realizes both advantages at the same time. In order to make the optimum condition on PTS for PAPR reduction, a quite large calculation cost must be demanded and thus it is impossible to obtain the optimum PTS. In the proposed method by using genetic algorithm, the total calculation cost becomes drastically reduced. The parameter for simulation used standard WLAN in IEEE 802.11a system.
