The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. Four research questions guided the study while three hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The population of the study comprised 323 respondents made up of 240 final students and 83 lecturers in the seven Departments of the faculty of Education Imo State University, Owerri. The entire population was used for the study. A researcher developed questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. The instrument was validated by three experts. The Cronbach’s alpha method was used to determine the internal consistency of the items and it yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.74. The researchers with the help of four research assistants distributed and successfully collected 298 copies of the questionnaire administered. The research questions were answered using the mean, while the hypotheses were tested using z-test at 0.05 level of significance. It was found among others that pre-observational techniques were used to a very low extent t in Imo state university Owerri for teaching practice supervision. The descriptive quantitative research design is employed in the study. The subjects of the study are the parents of the special needs children who are enrolled in the different Higher Education Institutions (HEI) both in private and government entities in the GCC country. Twenty (20) parents are topped in the utilization of the study. A non-probability sampling technique is utilized in the study which is purposive sampling because it is appropriate in the development of the study. This study sought to investigate the perceptions of lecturers on academic performance of student teachers with hearing impairments. A descriptive case study was used as research design. The study sample included three (3) Lecturers and four (4) student teachers with hearing impairments making the total of seven (7) participants who were purposively sampled. Data was generated using interviews and analysed qualitatively using thematic analysis techniques based on emerging themes from the study. The study revealed that lecturers perceived student teachers with hearing impairments as average and below-average performers academically. The study further revealed that student teachers with hearing impairments had mixed feelings towards their academic performance and perceived their academic performance as being influenced by their inability to understand concepts as well as lecturers’ inability to handle them appropriately. The study recommended the need by educators of students with hearing impairments to have positive perception towards students in order to instill self-positive regard in students. Borges","doi":"10.20952/JRKS1111761","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20952/JRKS1111761","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of this study was to investigate, through finite element analysis, the impact of different restorative techniques on stress distribution in endodontically-treated maxillary first premolars. A human maxillary first premolar was modeled following the real anatomical dimensions, through a periapical radiography, using the Rhinoceros software, version 4.0SR8. The model was then replicated to compose the groups according to the coronary restorative technique: C (coltosol), GI.C (glass ionomer + coltosol), GI (glass ionomer), CR.GI (conventional resin + glass ionomer), and BR.GI (Bulk Fill resin + glass ionomer). After the models were finished, they were imported as IGES files into ANSYS software, version 17.2. Fixation was defined at the base of the cortical bone and the load was applied with 300 N axially to the buccal and palatal cusps. The results generated were in maximum principal stress (MPS), with the CR.GI and BR.GI groups presenting the lowest values of tension concentration and more homogeneous stress distribution, followed by GI, GI.C and C. All restorative techniques affected the stress distribution in endodontically-treated maxillary first premolars, promoting greater tension in the occlusal third, at the interface with the buccal wall, and in the cervical third. Among these dyes, the Remazol Brilliant Blue R azo dye, is one of the most used for dyeing wool and cotton, being released in excess on these effluents. Intended for the carcinogenic and mutagenic potential of this type of dyes, several researches are developed in search of economical technologies for their removal. An adsorption is a viable technique, since several materials can be used for this purpose. Bovine bone activated carbon, as it is a residue from the livestock industry that is easily obtained, has been studied as an adsorbent material in the removal of dyes. Therefore, the objective of this project was to evaluate the performance of the adsorption kinetics of the Remazol Brilliant Blue R dye from the effluents using bovine bone activated carbon. The experiments were carried out in batches, with solutions concentrations of 20, 50 and 100 ppm, and the mathematical models of pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order and intraparticle diffusion were adjusted to the experimental data. For concentrations of 20 and 50 ppm, the model that best fits was the pseudo-first order, while for the concentration of 100 ppm the pseudo-second order model obtained the best result with R2 of 0.992. Objetivo: Analisar o contexto do Coronavírus e suas relações com o meio ambiente a nível mundial; destacando os impactos desse contexto nas comunidades. Método: A pesquisa trata-se de uma revisão sistemática de literatura, através das pesquisas selecionadas nas bases de dados (BVS), Google Acadêmico, (MEDLINE) e (LILACS) utilizando pesquisas nos idiomas português e inglês, que correspondessem entre 1998-2020, selecionando 16 pesquisas. Resultados: O coronavírus é o reflexo decorrente de zoonoses, eventos e cadeias envolvendo animais e humanos, caracterizando-o com o processo de globalização. Discussão: A globalização advinda da revolução industrial contribuiu para a emergência de doenças, como Covid-19 e ocasionam modificações no ambiente, através dos animais infectados que culminam na infecção dos humanos. The objective of this study was to identify and analyze the difficulties faced by early childhood teachers in Early Childhood Education and, in a specific way, the objective was to know the theoretical conceptions about the beginning of a teaching career; Identify the profile of Early Childhood teachers at the beginning of their careers; To find the main difficulties faced by these subjects and how they deal with them. The work was done from a qualitative research carried out in the municipality of Itapetinga-BA with four early childhood education teachers. It is an account of interdisciplinary experience in which, through the pedagogy of projects, the use of robots in the construction of timed traffic lights (one for pedestrians and one for cars) was evidenced. This proposal involved students from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of high school, aged between 13 and 18 years, from the State School Álvaro Paes, located in the city of Coité do Nóia-AL. The project emerged from the initiative of teachers of Physics and Mathematics, in conjunction with the Robotics Group of the State Network of Alagoas, and in this sense took the concept of kinematics. The activities were developed on Saturdays during the academic year of 2017. It was evident, from this experience, that the contextualization of the classes through robotics projects, make the classes motivating, since the students were involved with the possibility of creating, from the concepts of Physics and Mathematics, in the moments, involving and bringing the subjects closer to a scientific practice. As an educational product, an article was prepared with an account of the practice of a robotics project developed in the classroom. Initially, the training of work teams for the construction and development of tasks in class was carried out.
