Two technologies, image confusion and frame coding, are used to deal with watermark information, which can enhance information security and bind the synchronous information with a watermark. Meanwhile, in DCT domain, an embedding strategy based on image fragmentation and the extracting strategy based on image location are offered. The experimental results show that this scheme possesses a high robustness under cropping attack. And it can effectively resist normal image disposal methods.","PeriodicalId":143959,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Image Analysis and Signal Processing","volume":"190 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114359898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When the image is low signal-to-noise, the maximum between-cluster variance method (OTSU) cannot provide the ideal result. The 2D maximum between-cluster variance method can perform well with sharply increased computation. This work proposes a new image segmentation method based on OTSU and Differential Evolution. This solution performs a pre-processing step before the image segmentation. It is shown that Differential Evolution presents good segmentation result in noisy images. Moreover, the use of this method is easier and faster compared to the 2D maximum between-cluster variance method.","PeriodicalId":143959,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Image Analysis and Signal Processing","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125048070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on their noise characteristics, complete signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) theoretical models are constructed for both devices. At high gain levels, we derive that an ICCD is mainly affected by photocathode noise and micro-channel plate (MCP) noise and the effective readout noise of an EMCCD is less than one electron. Therefore, we propose simplified SNR models of ICCD and EMCCD cameras. SNR performances are compared through simulations and experiments to identify the most influencing parameters. The results show that the SNR performance provided by the ICCD is constricted by photocathode quantum efficiency and noise factor of the MCP. The EMCCD is strongly influenced by thermal dark current noise which will be multiplied up along with the signal by the gain register. Thus, EMCCDs must be strongly cooled in order to get the optimum image quality. Cooled EMCCDs always outperform ICCDs.","PeriodicalId":143959,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Image Analysis and Signal Processing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130103052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to distribution of feature points, the face is divided into several parts consisting of critical feature regional and non-critical feature regional. A new pavement roughness measurement method is then proposed based on the principle of non-inertial reference transfer. To be specific, five laser ranger finders are placed on the measuring bar, thus forming large and small step lengths with a bisymmetric structure. In this way, the equation of the height of the longitudinal pavement profile will be obtained. The results of comparison tests on various kinds of pavement with precision level indicate that the newly-invented pavement roughness measurement method can obtain accurate measurement results, unrestricted by the driving speed of the vehicle.","PeriodicalId":143959,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Image Analysis and Signal Processing","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126880989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
