Metaliteracy indicators include generating, combining, using, participating, sharing, and collaborating. To implement higher-order thinking skills, we implement research-based learning with a STEM approach. To develop the students’ metaliteracy, educators should also equip the learning process by learning materials. In this study, we developed RBL-STEM learning materials to improve students' metaliteracy skills. The learning materials that have been developed are considered to be valid, effective, and practical. The validity score obtained in each materials is 3.5 for the Lesson Plan, 3.54 for the Student Worksheet, and 3.63 for the Learning Outcomes Test.","PeriodicalId":142919,"journal":{"name":"Pancaran Pendidikan","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133839108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The solution is that educators are required to design online learning as an innovation in the use of technology. Learning at MTs Negeri 9 Jember during the COVID pandemic was carried out using the WA group, google classroom, or google meet. The learning media used by educators at MTs Negeri 9 Jember include powerpoints, videos, pictures (photos). The learning media used by MTs Negeri 9 educators are not effective and less attractive. The media used so far have not involved students to take an active role in the learning process. Therefore, training activities for the development of effective and interesting learning media are needed. One form of interesting learning media is game-based learning media in which there are many choices so that teachers just use it based on the materials to be presented. This community service activity is carried out in the form of training, and assistance by applying a modified Learning Cycle (3E) learning model, which consists of Exploration, Explanation, and Elaboration. Through this activity, partner school teachers are expected to (1) be able to innovate in carrying out classroom learning by utilizing ICT (2) improve the ICT capabilities of partner teachers with many partner teachers developing game-based learning media","PeriodicalId":142919,"journal":{"name":"Pancaran Pendidikan","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128298382","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research was intended to analyze the process, results and effectiveness after applying the illustrated science student worksheets with scientific approach concerning the weather theme and its effects on humans. The design used in this research was descriptive quantitative and done by 38 students of third grade at SDN Patrang 02 Jember Regency. The analysis of the scientific approach emphasized on research and development, quantitative and descriptive qualitative statistical data analysis. Descriptive qualitative data analysis was taken from interviews with students and questionnaires as well as the pictures of students’ works. It was obtained from the results of interviews, questionnaires and students’ work results. This test covered a large group class of 10 students and a small group class of 28 students. This research involved a large class design of 28 students and a small class of 10 students. The research instruments used were questionnaire, interview, observation, pre-test and post-test. The research analysis was tested for its validity, practicality, effectiveness, normality, homogeneity, and t-test. The results showed that the illustrated science student worksheets with scientific approach developed were valid, practical and effective. According to the analysis on the results of pre-test and post-test in a small class (10 students), there was an increase in the percentage from 58.08% to 83.3%. The analysis on the results of the pre-test post-test in a large class (28 students) got an increase from 54.44% to 88.7%. This activity was the second year agenda with the vision of creating a literacy-based convection village. This year, the team collaborated with the youth community of Sumbersari village, namely “Pusaka” (Pemuda Sumbersari Krajan) which consisted of 32 youngsters to develop the potential of the village in the convection field. The human resources in Krajan, Sumbersari were 13 tailors, 1 hijab convection, and 3 screen printing micro business. So far, these businesses were still traditional-domestic. Through target needs analysis, the business groups required product and business branding in order to compete in a wider market and increase their income. The team focused on collecting data and recruiting human resources by program socialization, product branding and additional graphic design skills training that aimed at increasing value and building product character, as well as capacity building in market services. The program was relatively successful because an industrial bag based on screen printing skills has been formed which was initiated by the team named “Pusaka Connection”. Pusaka Connection was the center for business production and marketing with the brand named \"Boker (Bondowoso Keren)\" which collaborated with other screen printing entrepreneurs and tailors in Krajan, Sumbersari. The flagship product of Pusaka Connection currently focused on era-sensitive t-shirts with the content of literary literacy of East Java. Through this program, it is hoped that in the next two years, the community will be able to develop the industry and be able to become a local convection industrial area like \"Dagadu\" in Yogyakarta and \"Joger\" in Bali. In addition to this activity article, the output of this program were training materials in the form of handbooks, activity videos on YouTube, and market places on Instagram and Shopee.","PeriodicalId":142919,"journal":{"name":"Pancaran Pendidikan","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124436180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is because the inquiry-based learning model is often used for learning science and mathematics, but in the application of the Indonesian language is rarely used. Many efforts can be done to improve Indonesian language learning, especially in writing skills. One of them is through the inquiry-based learning model. To present it attractively, preparation is required, starting from selecting materials, preparing a place, preparing a model, and presenting writing activities. The method used in this research is a mixed method which is combining of quantitative and qualitative methods. The research subjects were fourth-grade elementary school students consisting of 36 students in the experimental class and 36 students in the control class. Quantitative methods are applied to analyze data type intervals for student learning outcomes, while qualitative methods are applied to analyze ordinal data types for writing skills. Model validation is done by calculating the average assessment of experts and teachers, while the effectiveness of learning done by utilizing the results of individual student-written tests. The inquiry-based learning model is proven to be valid, practical, and effective according to the requirements of the learning steps. The results showed that there were significant differences between the two classes that applied the inquiry-based learning model and the conventional learning model. The results showed that the percentage of speaking skills for the control class was 82% the frequency of writing activities, the quality of students' writing was 84%, 84% writing creativity, and essay writing skills was 86%.
