They have higher rates of suicides, traffic accidents, psychosomatic illness, consumption of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. Healthcare organizations also face the consequences of decreased motivation, increased absenteeism and high turnover of their employees. To carry out their task of providing a safe, effective, fast and efficient service to their customers, employees need to be motivated. In this article, five preventive mechanisms to increase employee motivation are proposed: 1) eliminating systemic conflict and friction among employees by improving the definitions of roles, responsibilities, and authorities; 2) improving resource distribution criteria among different patient-centered organizational processes so that the expected results are correctly correlated to resource availability; 3) ensuring that the organization detects potential deficiencies in the knowledge/competence of its personnel in a pro-active manner and providing them with the necessary training to perform their assigned tasks; 4) defining and using internal communication channels to communicate the objectives of the organization and the results obtained, facilitating employee participation and recognizing their contributions; 5) creating a feedback loop between employees and the management to measure, analyze, and continuously improve their motivational levels.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133500357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New Theed and Mulnar are two villages situated at the northern-west boundary of Dachigam National Park (DNP). The population of New Theed is mainly belonging to the Kashmiri community while the Mulnar residents are from Gujjar community. Data were collected through random questionnaire survey from New Theed 101 and Mulnar 32 households (33% and 46%). It was found that about 21 % and 93.75% of households from Kashmiri and Gujjar communities were totally or partially dependent on DNP for their subsistence. With per capita fuel wood consumption of 1.09 and 4.04 kg/day, the average annual fuel wood consumption was found to be 0.39 and 3.92 metric ton per household of respective communities. According to household questionnaire survey, the average annual fuel wood collection was found to be lower (0.21 & 1.57 metric tons/household) compared to the measured quantity (5.19 & 7.32 metric tons/household) calculated on the basis of head loads being taken out of DNP. Moreover, 22% of Kashmiri community and 65% of Gujjar community collected green fodder from the forest for their livestock. Other resources collected from DNP were medicinal plants, honey, vegetables and fish, as well as timber. The harsh climatic conditions of the area, inappropriate supply of alternative fuels and bad condition of roads are the driving forces of higher fuel wood consumption for Gujjar community. Moreover, dependence on forest resources for subsistence is high among the Gujjar community due to high illiteracy rate and unemployment.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126230886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Reducing or eliminating such behavior is critical. Organizations must establish a positive atmosphere that guarantees the rights of all employees to a workplace free from all forms of inappropriate behavior. Morrison proposed eight “people-focused principles of management” that would enable managers to activate and fully utilize the human capital in their organizations. This preliminary study suggests that adopting those principles would benefit organizations.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"169 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122908300","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The DALYs lost in 2015 are converted into money using human capital (lost output) approach. The AMU total value of DALYs lost from all causes is the sum of each of the five country’s pecuniary value of DALYs (PVD) lost from all causes. The PVD associated with DALYs lost due to jth disease among persons of a specific age group is the product of the per capita non-health GDP in international dollars (Int$) and the total DALYs lost. The 27,175,610 DALYs lost in AMU in 2015 had a pecuniary value of Int$ 289,033,271,814, which is equivalent to 25.6% the sub-region’s 2015 GDP. The average pecuniary value per DALY lost was Int$ 10,636, which ranged from a minimum of Int$ 4226 in Mauritania to a maximum of Int$ 13,852 in Algeria. The pecuniary value of DALYs lost from all causes in the AMU sub-region annually is substantive.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123808986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study indicates that about 53% of the respondents admitted to the use of emails as medium in communication to be the best medium in attaining high efficiency and productivity, while 28% believed the use of What’s App application would improve the effectiveness and productivity. Some respondents preferred other methods, for example, communicating face to face which they have highlighted is a medium which enhances interpersonal relationships. The use of printed memo and letters as well as the use of the notice boards was also endorsed to have positive consequence on productivity and efficiency. It was noted that the usage of CMC is highly dependent on age and educational background. As the age of the respondents increased, there was decrease in the utility acceptance of CMC and the reverse was noted for educational background. The highly rated and preferred medium of communication based on the study is the most used medium utilized by Sewerage Systems Ghana Ltd. Employing the most preferred medium for communication in the organization is evidenced in the high performance of the staff which is reflective in the overall performance of the plant operations. The application of the CMC and the utilization of the appropriate medium or media in the management of faecal sludge highly aided the productivity and efficiency of personnel as well the overall performance of the plant operations and hence the organization.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"312 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121176543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Human resources management is still a great challenge for enterprises, and talent recruitment, brain drain and other issues are endless. In response to this problem, the article uses GATCO (Guangzhou) as an example to analyze the connotation and relationship of the components of human resource management based on the matching of people and posts. Research shows that, firstly, human resources management consists of four factors: human post matching, people matching, post matching, compensationand performance matching. Among them, post matching is the basis, performance compensation matching is the tool, and post matching is the strategic goal. Being oriented, everyone matching is the essence of achieving the strategic goal of post; Secondly, the ultimate orientation of human resource management activity is the realization of employee self-value and the realization of corporate value. Among them, the realization of employee value is the premise of the realization of enterprise value; Thirdly, the most critical part of the post matching is talent, not post; Fourthly, the operation of human resources management activities comes from the joint forces among various elements. Its essence is a series of activities carried out under the guidance of strategic goals, based on positions, and human-centered.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127377312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
