The socio-economic impact of coronavirus in the middle and low-income countries mentioned the virus as SARS-CoV-2 has officially termed COVID-19. There is a need to identify the barriers and frame the strategies for socio-economic interventions in the COVID-19 pandemic. To manage the people infected with the COVID-19, there is a need for coordination between the health system and the general public. Also, there is a need for support from the financial system and welfare in people’s quality of life. This pandemic situation is an alarming humanitarian crisis that seeks intensive care and support from public health. It is not possible only from the health sector and government, but also social workers, psychologists, experts in logistics, epidemiologists, and social scientists. Countries are implementing the lockdown and hygiene measures to cut the chain of spreading of the virus. Rapid transmission of COVID-19 in countries and the world needs a disease surveillance system, tracking, testing laboratories, and response treatment. In these circumstances, this research paper mainly concentrates on the COVID-19 and its impact on selected rural areas of Katpadi taluk in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu. It is a socially and timely relevant one and need of the hour.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124912939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The driving force creating the endogenous mode comes from an actor network process, which is composed of new technology, new industry, and new business forms. The EM is also a process by which the combination of innovations by multiple actors replaces traditional simple exogenous innovation. [Methods] Focusing on Dalishu village (DLS) in China as a case study, this research analyzed the characteristics of endogenous energy transformation in an actor-network node into an endogenous mode of BRC, using a social network analysis method. This paper proposes the theoretical framework of an EM for BRC, which integrates all stakeholders, and promotes the transformation of the BRC mode from materialized productivity to the post-productivity of shared experiential services. [Result] EM is closely related to actor-network construction. The more centrally located the actor node is, the greater the transformation energy is, the higher the transformation efficiency is. The stronger the central potential of the entire network is, the stronger the sustainability of the endogenous mode is. [Conclusion] When considering the five strategic objectives of supply side structural reform, it is important to adjust the strong and weak relationships among different actors, strengthen the interaction among actors across network nodes, and improve the high-quality efficiency of EM. Cultivating actors with high transformation efficiency, strengthening the relationship between network participants, and planning and building a shared space can promote the role and change the status of actors, improving the efficiency of EM.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124350844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The creation of auto-oriented roadways and increased automobile usage is in direct contrast with the decrease of more active transportation modes, such as walking, biking, or public transit transportation. Although personal automobiles may save users’ time in traveling, there is a growing concern, backed by numerous studies, regarding the health effects directly and indirectly caused by increased automobile dependence and the auto-oriented transportation environment. The present report explores the many health related problems that are correlated with the current transportation environment, including reduced physical activity, obesity, respiratory problems, and mental health issues, particularly in the United States. The findings indicate that the modern built transportation system indeed influences many aforementioned problems, and that there must be engineering and societal responses to both encourage and allow greater opportunities for active transportation. The report further discusses the responses that have already taken place and planning measures to foster more active transportation in the future. Finally, it focuses on the development of a land-use planning health index, which would force land-use planners to identify active transportation needs and create a standard for the accessibility of active transportation within communities.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"2005 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127629015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A qualitative multiple case study was applied using semi-structured interviews and direct observations of eight participants. Two themes emerged from the content analysis: vague internship postings and application barriers. The findings indicate that the information published on social media was insufficient to engage students to apply for the opened positions, and the format of online resumes prevented students from continuing the applications. Recommendations are offered to improve the recruitment processes of undergraduate interns using social media. In conclusion, the internship ads were left untouched by respondents due to the imprecision of their content, despite the ease of access provided by advanced communication technologies.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"122 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117317113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different from limited existing countries studies in west Africa, an advanced panel econometric methodology such as dynamic Panel data techniques, considers the question of remittances on economic growth in West Africa. Our results suggest that remittances on economic growth in West Africa exert a positive and significant impact. Furthermore, a positive relationship between remittance, real effective exchange rate, trade openness, investment on economic growth was detected. Thereby it is important to examine the causal effects of both remittances and economic growth in West Africa, which conclude the existence of a short-term relationship between remittance and economic growth in West Africa. The above findings and conclusions informed the following recommendations: There is a need for carefulness in the management of funds sent home by migrants. Such monies are expected to be guided into productive ventures and not for wastefulness. To earn the full benefits of improved migrant’s remittances, West Africa must create an investment climate that is appealing to Africans in the diaspora. Lastly, there is equally the need for West Africa economies to rely more on domestic investment rather than on foreign capital inflows for their economic growth.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133268963","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The survey was conducted in twenty-six (26) general public hospitals of the region of Athens. The sample consists of 656 top and senior executives of the four departments of hospitals (medical, nursing, administrative, technical). The executives were asked to provide assessments using the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI), based on the Competing Values Framework of Cameron & Quinn. The results of the survey show that the dominant organizational culture, in hospitals, can be described by the Bureaucratic Culture model (47.75% of respondents). The model of Clan Culture (23.76%) comes second while the Entrepreneurial-Adhocracy Culture model and the Market Culture model scored 10.02% and 14.46% respectively. The desired culture model is the Clan Culture or Participatory model (34.51%), followed by the Market Culture model (24.47%), model of Entrepreneurial-Adhocracy Culture model (22.49%), and finally the Bureaucratic Culture model (19.03%). In the existing situation, general public hospitals are characterized by internal orientation, observance of rules and processes as well as focus on control hierarchy, predictability and stability. The model of Entrepreneurial-Adhocracy Culture and the model of Market Culture, which both focus on the exterior macro-environment and growth for the hospital, record small percentages. As far as the future is concerned, hospital executives would like to see a change from the Bureaucratic Culture model of organization, to the direction of Participatory model, which will include elements of flexibility, creativity, dynamism and competitiveness that are inherent in the other two models (Market and Entrepreneurial-Adhocracy). The focus remains on the internal environment of hospitals but at the same time there is evidence of the wish to look into the external environment of hospital as well.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116695987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This applies in particular to medicine. Devices with ionizing radiation are constantly being introduced in all areas of medicine, both for diagnosis and for treatment. The personnel working with this equipment must therefore have sufficient knowledge and skills and follow the respective rules and procedures associated with the radiation protection of the personnel themselves and the patients. To achieve all this, it is necessary to pay special attention to training of the personnel. Due to the constant introduction of new, modern equipment, it is necessary to periodically conduct the relevant training. The author of the article is responsible for conducting of such a specialized training, held in the Medical University Varna and at the same time trainer in some specific training courses. In this article we show interesting moments from running special courses to acquire the right to work with sources of ionizing radiation. This can be useful for other trainers who conduct such training. We share our experience in running these courses and believe that we can provide new ideas for more effective delivery of these special training courses.","PeriodicalId":140802,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Resource and Sustainability Studies","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126217511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
