Impediments to knowledge distribution that result from many factors that are not properly acknowledged and untangled in the education sector. As a result, the criteria mentioned confirm that obstacles to knowledge dissemination lower staff productivity and effectiveness in knowledge management. As a critical information gap, the distinction between barriers and knowledge diffusion is explored in this study work. The study was created using a deductive methodology and a positivist epistemological stance. The study sample was selected as 181 members of the academic and non-academic staff across 46 branches of the ABC non-state university that awards degrees. The study found that organizational, individual, and technological hurdles obstruct the dissemination of knowledge. According to research findings, impediments to information distribution in the higher education sector should be removed by addressing those that exist in the contexts of organizations, individuals, and technology.","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"118 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85071857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sacha inchi, or Plukenetia volubilis is a perennial plant with large, oil-filled seeds. sacha inchi plants began to be widely cultivated. However, in practice it is still planted directly in the field, without going through the nursery first, so the quality of the plants produced varies greatly. Seeding is a process that determines the quality of the plants to be cultivated. Planting media is the media used to grow plants, where roots or roots will grow and develop. A good planting medium must meet requirements such as not containing pest and disease seeds, free of weeds, able to hold water. This study aims to see the effect of the mixture and to get the best mixture of organic matter that supports the growth of Sacha inchi seedlings. This research was conducted from June to August 2022. The research method used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 5 treatments consisting of: Top soil : sand (A), Top soil : sand : burnt husks (B), Top soil : sand : goat manure (C), top soil : sand : bamboo leaves (D), top soil : sand : leftover crickets (E). Data analysis with F test and further test with BNT test level of 5%. Giving organic matter shows better growth than without giving organic matter. Mixture of top soil, sand, and crickets growing media showed optimal growth in number of leaves, number of perfectly opened leaves, widest leaf width, longest leaf length, plant height, fresh weight of plants, and fresh weight of roots.","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81845220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is shown by the huge quantities (several tons/year) that have been seized by the authorities. Also, young users of these psychoactive substances do no longer hide themselves. However, few studies have been carried out on the epidemiology of drug addiction and on the complications linked to the use of these illicit drugs in Côte d'Ivoire. In this context, we planned to perform an epidemiological analysis of drug use in this country. To this end, a survey conducted using a questionnaire submitted to patients in two detoxification centers in the city of Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire). It was found from this study that the most illicit drugs commonly used in this country were respectively, cannabis, heroin, cocaine and crack. The preference for cannabis is due to its affordabîlity (relatively low cost). Also, learners (pupils and students) are the biggest consumers of drugs.","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89370344","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article presents EmmanuelLevinas' ethics of responsibility as a foundation for ethical relation. Ethics of responsibility essentially calls for morality, which creates a room for the other and indispensable to eschewing the \"I\" ascendency. Everyone is morally responsible for his or her neighbour, who is \"the Other\" either particular or \"the third Party.\" To be human is to be responsible. \"The Other\" is a key concept in the vocabulary of Levinas and the starting point of his philosophy of ethics. Ethics of responsibility commands the human race to respect the alterity, dignity, rights, and otherness of the Otherthrough ethical relation despite his or her physical dynamics.It is a responsibility that postulates asymmetrical sociality, face-to-face loving encounter, ethical substitution and ethical justice as a paramount to ethical relation in contemporary broken society.","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"46 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87908284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of research was to determine the level of satisfaction of people who live and work in the City of Ekurhuleni with the quality of municipal services they are provided with routinely. The survey was conducted by gathering household-level information from 544 residents of Ekurhuleni. The level of satisfaction of respondents with the quality of municipal services was measured by using a matrix of indicators developed by Das, Das and Barman (2021:885-913) for conducting a similar assessment. A composite index developed by D’Inverno and De Witte (2020:1129-1141) was used as a benchmark for measuring the level of services rendered to people who live in the City. The main result of the survey was that 63.05% of people who took part in the survey expressed satisfaction with the quality of services that were rendered to people living in the City. The results showed that 36.95% of people in the survey were not happy with the quality of services rendered to people who live in the City. The survey revealed that satisfaction with services was influenced by the ability of employees of the City to resolve service-related queries promptly, a lengthy duration of residence in Ekurhuleni (11 years or longer), and being provided with accurate financial statements.","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"26 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77208829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to categorize values of patient anthropometric variables such as BMI with change in follicular sizes as determined by sonography following postCLOMID inducement therapy. Materials and Methods: This was an experimental cohort study carried out in some selected hospitals in Anambra State, Nigeria, from June 2018 to May 2022.Convenient sampling technique was adopted to select the subjects based on the inclusion criteria, which were women of child bearing age (18 to 45 years) for both groups. Confirmation of patients with PCOS was ascertained with the presence of polycystic ovaries in ultrasound. The ultrasound examinations and anthropometry measurements were carried out on each subject, and data such as BMI, follicular sizes before and post treatment were recorded. The obtained data were subjected to SPSS analysis using both descriptive and inferential statistical tools. Results: The mean values of the BMI of the participants in the experimental group before and after treatment with clomid were 25.69±5.99 kg/m2 , 25.92±5.55 kg/m2 respectively, while the mean BMI value for the control group was 23.09±3.41 kg/m2 .There were no statistically significant differences in body mass index, and maximal follicular size in women with failed and successful ovulation in the experimental group before treatment (p>0.05). There were statistically significant mean differences in the BMI (t= 8.75, p = 0.001) and follicular size (t= 2.04, p = 0.04) of participants in the experimental group after treatment with clomid. There were statistically significant mean differences in the BMI (t= 2.41, p = 0.02) and follicular size (t= 4.88, p = 0.001) of participants in the control group after treatment with clomid. Conclusion: There was higher ovulation failure rate among the overweight and obese subjects in both the experimental and control groups. Also significant increase in mean follicular sizes after clomid inducement in the experimental group was noted. Body mass index has significant negative impacts on ovulation.","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"130 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79590883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
