Exhaustive geological fieldwork reveals Ado-Ekiti is underlain by migmatite-gneiss, quartzite, granite (porphyritic and fine-grained) and charnockite. Petrographic investigation revealed overwhelming presence of quartz, biotite and plagioclase in all the rocks while microcline and opaque minerals occur in subordinate amounts. Average SiO2 content in porphyritic granite (74.56 %) is marginally higher than charnockite (73.51%) and fine-grained granite (70.41%). These values correlate well with previous works in the study area and agrees with similar rocks in other parts of the country. Analytical results using Phillips Panalytical PW1480 X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer with Rhodium Tube as the X-ray source revealed the siliceous nature of the rocks. The binary plot (Na2O+K2O) vs SiO2 established the rocks are granitic with all the samples plotting within granite field. AFM ternary diagram shows the rock have calc-alkaline affinity. Geochemical classification by (Na2O + K2O-CaO) vs SiO2 diagram reveals the rocks are “Calc-alkalic and calcic”. The elevated K2O (average of 4.41%) in the data signaled High-K calc-alkaline type on K2O vs SiO2 binary diagram. Alumina Saturation Index (ASI) showed the rocks are metaluminous while Al2O3 / (Na2O + K2O) vs Al2O3/ (Na2O +K2O +CaO) plot suggest the rocks have mantle origin","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89650148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The interconnection of these four levels makes a major contribution to the development of students' mental models in building the meaning and conceptual understanding of biological materials. Mental models are ideas in the minds of students that are used to develop, explain, and predict a phenomenon. The formation of mental models is influenced by the experiences they have, their confidence or selfefficacy, and the problems they face. Multiple representations are believed to influence the formation of mental models and students' self-efficacy. For this reason, an in-depth study of the role of multiple representations in building mental models and students' self-efficacy is needed. This research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis techniques and a literature review (library research). The analysis is carried out by reviewing articles that are relevant to the study being discussed. In the search for articles, four keywords were used, namely: multiple representation learning, biology learning, mental models, and self-efficacy. The articles used in this study were 25 international articles obtained from Google Scholar and ERIC. From the results of the study, it was found that learning multiple representations is very effective in building mental models and self-efficacy in biology students. From the results of this study, it is recommended for lecturers and teachers to use multiple representations learning in the learning process to build mental models and self-efficacy in students.","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"81 5-7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91471303","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sampling stations were established through transect sampling. The abiotic factors or the physico-chemical parameters recorded from the river were found to be very supportive for the total well-being of the water and the aquatic organisms alike: water velocity (0.36 m/s) is smooth and temperature (23.18 oC) is on average that make both parameters “essential” to support the life cycle of organisms known to indicate a good water quality; pH level (7.14) is average/”satisfactory” for a fresh water; and turbidity (17.95 NTU) is rated as excellent. The bacterial analysis indicated that the water of Dahilayan River, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Phils. contains bacteria that make the water not potable. It is then concluded that the Dahilayan River is still in good condition as it projects onstandard-levels of abiotic factors or the physico-chemical parameters, however the streams’ bacterial content makes the water not potable","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"101 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77336260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent times, the oncological impact of LCN2 has been extensively studied in various cancer types, including colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and pancreatic cancer. Different levels of LCN2 have been linked to increased cell proliferation, angiogenesis, cell invasion, and metastasis. Consequently, LCN2 has emerged as a promising therapeutic target against various cancer types. This review consolidates the most notable findings on the expression, biological functions, and regulation of LCN2, along with the proteins with which LCN2 interacts in cancer.","PeriodicalId":13763,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research","volume":"23 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79641459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
