HDI is used to classify whether a country is a developed country, a developing country or an underdeveloped country and also to measure the effect of economic policies on quality of life. In Indonesia HDI is one of the important indicators in measuring success in efforts to build the quality of human life (community/population), determine the rank or level of development of an area and as a allocator for determining general allocation funds. However, in reality the calculation and publication time of HDI by the Central Bureau of Statistics takes quite a long time. So this research aims to predict the HDI value of Maluku Province for the next 5 years using the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) Backpropagation method. And also, design or build an application system with the Graphic User Interface (GUI) Matlab to facilitate the calculation of prediction HDI values by each user. The research obtained the best prediction accuracy level using the learning rate (α) = 0.1, Target Error = 0.0000001, Maximum epoch = 500, network architecture 3-3-1, and scheme of data composition consists of 80% training data and 20% testing data. The percentage of prediction accuracy obtained for Maluku Province HDI is 99.57%, the average percentage of absolute error (MAPE) is 0.0043%. The pattern of predictive data shows an increase in HDI values from 2019-2023.","PeriodicalId":13712,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT (ICEE 2021)","volume":"81 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91237898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The changes in color and response time were observed in the pH range 2 to 8. The interaction of the membrane with the leaf extract was confirmed by an FTIR spectrophotometer by comparing the membrane spectra before and after entrapment. The pH test strip was tested on samples of food additive acetic acid. Color changes over the specified pH range were observed with a fast response time. FTIR analysis confirmed the interaction of chitosan of membrane with leaf extract. The test on real sample showed conformity with the test results using a universal pH indicator. Hence, the proposed pH test strip can be used as a good pH measuring indicator.","PeriodicalId":13712,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT (ICEE 2021)","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88580422","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While from generation point of view as of today, we are depending mostly on coal powered power plants. But then again energy extraction from fossil fuels will be depleted if some other alternate ways are not found out. Non-conventional energy can provide a solution to it but the amount of energy extraction is less hence on this context, energy conservation is the need of the time. It is a measure to reduce, reuse and change our consumption pattern such that bulk energy usage can be sustained without going to energy crisis situation. The conservation scheme aims to reduce greenhouse emissions and saves our energy bills. Hence energy efficient systems are beneficial to both mankind and environment. This paper is aimed to present the energy saving calculations for different energy conservation projects in KIIT, Deemed to be University .In this case study two consecutive years and the difference in the amount of energy consumed and energy saved in terms of money is clearly indicated. Adopting various energy conservation methods KIIT has saved 15.32 lakh kilowatt hour of energy.","PeriodicalId":13712,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT (ICEE 2021)","volume":"30 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89445697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Illegal miners extract gold using mercury (Hg) in rotating drums (trommel). For flushing, a lot of water is used so that the drum is placed along the river bank and the resulting waste is disposed of directly into the environment so this is very dangerous for humans and the environment. One of the areas where the drum is located in the river bank of the Patipulu River, Kaiely Village. This research was conducted to determine the levels and distribution of mercury at the ex-trommel location and the Patipulu River ecosystem. The results showed that tromol waste had a mercury concentration of 22 ppm or 22 times higher than the standard (SNI for mercury levels in the sediment was a maximum of 1 ppm) while river sediments were 16 times higher. From the data obtained, it can be concluded that the Patipulu River ecosystem has been contaminated with mercury.","PeriodicalId":13712,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT (ICEE 2021)","volume":"46 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85020156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
