Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 7 Bingin Teluk. Data penelitian didapatkan dari hasil observasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) perencanaan pembelajaran telah terlihat, perlu adanya perbaikan penyesuaian dengan standar dan ketentuan yang berlaku, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran telah terlaksana dengan baik walaupun dalam dokumen masih ada kekurangan yang perlu diperbaiki, (3) evaluasi pembelajaran telah berjalan dengan baik, dan (4) faktor pendukung antara lain motivasi guru terlihat baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Kepala sekolah mendorong guru untuk mengembangkan kemampuan profesional; Strateginya menggunakan pendekatan persuasif, dukungan moral, kebebasan berpikir dan berkreasi. 2. Kepala sekolah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun RPP yang berkualitas; diberi arahan, diberi bimbingan, dan diberi contoh. 3. Kepala sekolah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan metode pengajaran; Guru mampu menguasai materi pembelajaran, mengelola kelas, memotivasi siswa, menggunakan media, berinteraksi dengan siswa, membimbing siswa untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, melakukan evaluasi, mengembangkan interaksi pembelajaran. 4. {"title":"KONTRIBUSI KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN KEPEMIMPINAN TERHADAP KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL KEPALA SEKOLAH","authors":"Hikayat Rahmaddansyah","doi":"10.33369/mapen.v15i3.19714","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33369/mapen.v15i3.19714","url":null,"abstract":"The objectives of the study are : (1) to examining the contribution of emotional intelligence on the interpersonal communication of the principals, (2) to examining the contribution of leadership on the interpersonal communication of principals and (3) to examining both of them simultaneously, the emotional intelligence and leadership. The method of the research is quantitative method an using descriptive type. The population of the study are 72 principals. They are the principals of SMP/MTS and SMA/SMK/MA. There are 61 principals are taken by using proportional stratified random sampling. The instrument of the study is likert model scale. The result of the study states that the instrument are valid and reliabel. The analysis of the data are using descriptive statistics, simple regression and multiple regression. The research shows : (1) there is a significant contibution of the emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication of the principals, (2) there is a significant contribution of the leadership and interpersonal communication the principals, and (3) there is a significant contribution of the emotional intelligence and the leadership of interpersonal communication. JURNAL MANAJER PENDIDIKAN E-ISSN 2623-0208 P-ISSN 1979-732X Volume 15, Nomor 03 Desember 2021 58 Keyword : the emotional intelligence, the leadership, the interpersonal communication PENDAHULUAN Kepala sekolah memiliki tugas ganda yakni sebagai guru (pendidik) sekaligus sebagai leader (pemimpin) dan manager (pengelola) di sekolah yang dipimpinnya, sehingga kepala sekolah harus dibekali dengan pengetahuan yang berkualitas agar kepala sekolah tersebut dapat memberikan pemahaman keilmuan, mental yang berpribadi baik, dan emosi yang terkendali agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolahnya. (Mulyasa, 2007). Dalam menjalankan perannya, kepala sekolah dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan berkomunikasi dengan baik. Komunikasi yang dimaksud adalah komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif antara kepala sekolah dengan guru, karyawan, peserta didik, atau antar kepala sekolah dan lainnya. DeVito (2011) menjelaskan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal diartikan sebagai proses pengiriman dan penerimaan pesan-pesan antara individu atau sekelompok individu, dengan beberapa efek dan umpan balik segera. Untuk mewujudkan komunikasi interpersonal tersebut maka harus didasarkan atas komunikasi yang efektif sehingga melahirkan persamaan, saling berbagi cinta kasih yang murni, dan tidak ada maksud untuk menguntungkan diri pribadi dan merugikan pihak lain. (Goleman, 1997), (Danim, 2004). Agar tercapai komunikasi interpersonal yang baik, seorang kepala sekolah membutuhkan kecerdasan emosional, berupa kemampuan mengenali perasaan diri kita sendiri dan perasaan orang lain, kemampuan memotivasi diri sendiri dan kemampuan mengelola emosi dengan baik pada diri sendiri, selama berhubungan dengan orang lain (Djafri, 2014). Penelitian Ini Menggunakan Metode Kuantitatif Jenis Deskriptif Korelasional. Populasi Penelitian Adalah Guru Matematika SMA/MA Dan Yang Berjumlah 71 Guru. Sampel Berjumlah 62 Guru Yang Dipilih Dengan Teknik Purposive Sampling Yaitu Berdasarkan Pertimbangan Atau Kriteria Tertentu. Kriteria Pemilihan Sampel Dalam Penelitian Ini Berdasarkan Jumlah Guru Yang Tergabung Dalam MGMP Matematika Se Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan. Instrumen Yang Digunakan Adalah Skala Model Likert. Hasil Uji Validitas Dan Reliabilitas Instrumen Pengembangan Profesi, Komitmen Dan Kinerja Guru Menyatakan Bahwa Instrumen Penelitian Valid Dan Reliabel. Data Dianalisis Dengan Statistik Deskriptif, Korelasi Product Moment, Dan Korelasi Ganda.
