Furthermore, Wire cut electrical discharge machining (WEDM) process is the prominent to the fastest growing industries because of their accuracy, the possibility to obtain complex shapes, close tolerances and economically. Therefore, the aim of this experimental work is to analyze the impact of pulse on time and wire feed rate on performance characteristics namely, kerf width and heat affected zone (HAZ). In this experimental investigation, micro level slot cutting experiments were carried out on aluminum plate of 2 mm thickness by WEDM with response surface design. Multi-criteria decision making Grey relational analysis (GRA) technique has been utilized to find optimal machine settings of process constraints. Polynomial models were developed for output constraints. From results, it is analyzed that the pulse on time has more dominance on kerf width, whereas the wire feed rate has a higher influence on HAZ. The obtained outcomes will expedite the advanced machining industries to enhance machinability and dimensional accuracy.","PeriodicalId":13651,"journal":{"name":"Interciencia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71124149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Analytical and statistical tests revealed that the content of Se in the soil of the study area ranged from 0.01 to 0.57 mg·kg-1, with an average value of 0.12 mg·kg-1, corresponding to a relatively low content. The orders of Se content in different materials are as follows: soil layer > soil parent material layer > rock layer in terms of the profile; Triassic continental clastic > Neogene-Quaternary continental clastic > Mesozoic intermediate-acid > Proterozoic intermediate-acid > Jurassic-Cretaceous continental clastic > Permian basic-ultrabasic = Sinian marine carbonate = Proterozoic volcanic clastic in terms of rock formations (parent rocks); and brown soil > yellow brown soil > dark brown soil > black felt soil > red soil > purple soil. The spatial distribution of Se exhibits distinct zoning and a good spatial coupling relationship with geological formations, rivers, topography, and geomorphology. The selenium content is mainly controlled by geological factors such as parent rock and parent material under different geological tectonic units, followed by clay minerals, organic matter such as Corg, S, N and element adsorption and fixation.","PeriodicalId":13651,"journal":{"name":"Interciencia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71124489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also focused on the possible relationships between categorical variables such as gender, years of experience, major, classes taught per week, educational degree and teachers perceptions of using a mixed-methods approach. Ninety-six teachers participated in this study, 64 females and 32 males. Both quantitative and qualitative results indicated that the participants had positive perceptions towards the application of CP principles in the FL classroom. Particularly, qualitative results revealed teachers lack of awareness of CP and lack of emphasis on the importance of integrating CP principles in the English curricula taught at public schools, shedding light on the difficulty of applying these principles because of the subtleties of the situation in Palestine. The overall results suggested that CP principles can and should be applied to public schools in the Palestinian context.","PeriodicalId":13651,"journal":{"name":"Interciencia","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135495641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the moment of insemination, day 7 after estrus period, a high number of untransferable recipients was found after ovaries ultrasonography. From 54 animals synchronized, just in 5 (9.25 %) cases was performed the embryo insemination. The embryo transfer was performed in cases where a corpus luteum (CL group) higher than 17 mm was found on the ovary, corpus luteum with a cavity of a maximum 10 mm and without a follicle higher than 10 mm on the ovary with the corpus luteum or on the other ovary. The rest of heifers were classified into the next groups: Hollow corpus luteum (HCL Group), 11 cases (20.37%), Lutheal cyst (LC Group), 5 cases (9.25%), No corpus luteum (NCL Group), 4 cases (7.40%), Corpus luteum and follicle (CLF Group), Small corpus luteum (SCL Group). Cystic corpus luteum seems to be a good variant for performing the Embryo Transfer. Even if the level of P4 concentrations in the case of a luteal cyst is highest, the embryo transfer in these cases is with a high level of risk and should be avoided.","PeriodicalId":13651,"journal":{"name":"Interciencia","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135749598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A leaf eating caterpillar, Trilocha varians (Lepidoptera: Bombycidae) is a serious pest of Ficus spp. especially Ficus benjamina. This is a new emerging pest of horticultural andagricultural crops all over the world. The pest is causing 100% defoliation and even death of plant.The severe attack of this pest has seen on F. bejamina. The current pest is invading to otherornamental plants, especially jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) in the world and becoming risk for other crops. There is need to minimize the pest population, but still no management strategies have adopted to control this pest in the world. The current experimental study was conducted to check the efficacy of botanicals alone and in combine application with insecticides against 2nd instar larvae of leaf eating caterpillar, T. varians under laboratory conditions. Results showed that among botanicals, Azadirachta indica was showed more toxicity as compared to Eucalyptus globulus. A. indica was showed the highest mortality (6.40%) of larvae at 72 hours of post treatment, whileminimum mortality (0.40%) at 24 hours. The combine application of A. indica and Emamectin benzoate was given maximum mortality (9.209.20) at 72 hours and minimum (1.803.20) at 24 hours. The mixture of emamectin benzoate and E. globulus was also found effective and toxic against second instar larvae but less than combine application of A. indica and Emamectin benzoate. In response to this new pest issue in the ornamental plants, control strategies includingbiological control alone and in combine with others chemicals are being developed in Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":13651,"journal":{"name":"Interciencia","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135596431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, it is widely cultivated. The most common problem in the cultivation of potato plants is pests, which damage the plant and cause a decrease in product quality and yield. Leptinotarsa decemlineata, is a pest on the Solanaceae family, and can cause great damage by eating the leaves of the living plant during the development period. Although the most effective control method against potato beetle is chemical control, researches on alternative methods are becoming more widespread. In this context, the current study aimed to develop a new biological control agent with the aim of reducing product loss by investigating the effect of Camphorosma monspeliaca plant essential oil on L. decemlineata species eggs, larvae and adults. As a result, C. monspeliaca essential oil application was found to have lethal effect on early larvae, late larvae and adults. Besides, it was determined that the eggs were seriously deformed morphologically with the application of essential oil and that no larvae hatched from these eggs, which proved that C. monspeliaca essential oil has a high potential to be used as an effective natural insecticide.","PeriodicalId":13651,"journal":{"name":"Interciencia","volume":"47 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71124871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smoking is a major risk factor for this disease with frequent comorbidities. Osteoporosis is a common comorbidity in patients with COPD. Osteoporosis is characterized by lower bone density and changes in bone microarchitecture, leading to increased sensitivity and bone fractures occur. Fractures cause pain, further worsen already damaged pulmonary ventilation, reduced mobility and disability, and increased risk of thromboembolic disease, and even death. Osteoporosis in patients with COPD is probably evolving as the basis for both diseases there is systemic inflammation, but also because of the influence of inhaled tobacco smoke, reduced mobility of patients, vitamin D deficiency, lower body weight and older age. The use of systemic corticosteroids in the treatment of exacerbations of COPD increases the risk of developing osteoporosis. In addition, exacerbation of the intensification of inflammation, hypoxia and oxidative stress, as well as the imbalance between protease and anti-protease may contribute to increased bone resorption in patients with COPD. Osteoporosis can lead to kyphosis, which limits physical activity, leads to dyspnea, exacerbations and inadequate ventilation, which leads to a decrease in pulmonary function parameters. Osteoporosis can cause fractures that further limit movement, increasing the risk of thromboembolism and death. All of that have large impact on the quality of life COPD patients. Early prevention, timely diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis are very important for patients with COPD. It is necessary significantly increase awareness of the connection between these two diseases.","PeriodicalId":13651,"journal":{"name":"Interciencia","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135152824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
