Designing an adaptive hysteretic model facilitates the operation of such mechanisms in general control framework. The system consists of a sensor signal conditioning, microcontroller circuits, and application programs for data acquisition system. Two capacitive type sensors are used in the system. With the most recent technology of MEMS, it is possible to construct an integrated seismometer using only one chip of MEMS sensor, which traditionally three separated sensors must be employed. These delays can cause errors in delivered measurements to the HMI at control center. This paper evaluates how these communication delays can affect the accuracy of transmitted measurements as viewed by HMI in automation system of a real power distribution network. Experimental measuring has been performed to obtain the time delays in data exchange between RTU and HMI. A stochastic model, based on the obtained experimental results, is then employed to model the data transmission delay for that real automation system of power network. Fuzzy logic is one that can represent a complex situation into a simple form in a language that is easily caught by humans. Similarly, to represent the nature of weather easily understood by ordinary people, this is the result of weather forecasting based on meteorological data. Some of the statistical methods used for weather forecasting are Auto Regressive (AR), Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and found some shortcomings of these traditional method. That is the need for historical data is not small, low-prediction accuracy results in a complex condition. This paper describes the strategy in weather forecasting based on fuzzy logic for maritime weather. Case studies conducted in the Java Sea, cruise lines Surabaya- Banjarmasin. The results showed that the level of accuracy prediction for 86.64% of the Java Sea, and prediction accuracy decreased for the next 24 hours ahead. The inverse solutions were used to approximate the displacement angle for input values for the three servos S1, S2, and S3 using the three desired parameters R, Z, and angle ?. The truncated solution was complex and mathematically tedious, requiring 16 coefficients to be used to compute S1 and 165 coefficients to compute S2 and 145 for S3. In this research, a neural network was used to replace the highly complex power expansions. Single neural networks were used to compute S1, S2, and S3 separately. The networks were optimized such that each network had eight hidden layers. The neural networks provided good accuracy in the solutions they obtained. Most importantly, the approach reduced the high demand for mathematical resources significantly below the resources required by the power series method. The technique is inspired from a traditional and ancient textile dye-resist technique, namely batik. In batik technique, wax is used to protect regions of textile material from the colouring dye(s). Similarly, we modify the wax content in cloth for defining hydrophilic channel for controlling fludic flow at micro liter volume level. Separate fluids can be dropped at different sites, and flown into a reaction site for inducing diffusion-induced mixing. As a comparison, we also fabricated cloth microfluidic device using a technique similar to that proposed by previous researchers to build 3-dimensional (3D) paper-based microfluidic device. The device made using our proposed technique can give clearer colour change display due to the mixing of different dyes. In developing countries like Malaysia, the rapid growth of industrial sectors does not only bring income to the nation, but also causes pollution in various forms. It is well known that air pollution has significant contribution towards global warming through Ozone depletion, whereby the emission of toxic gas from industries such as CFC would slowly thin the Ozone layer. Therefore, apart from taking efforts to prevent or reduce air pollution, the monitoring of factors known to deplete ozone should also be undertaken. In view of this, an instrument that could monitor the quality of Ozone on daily basis was designed. The instrument comprises of two main blocks; the data logger and Graphic User Interface (GUI). The data logger uses 16-Bit Microcontroller as the main control board housing data logger algorithm, Solar Tracker algorithm and data storage block. Three sensors were used in the data logger to measure the temperature, humidity and ultraviolet rays. The system had been tested at the field to capture data in two different conditions; at the industrial and high attitude areas.
