Doroshenko","doi":"10.1109/CRMICO.2003.158762","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CRMICO.2003.158762","url":null,"abstract":"A medical radiowave therapy apparatus (MRWTA) has been designed at the 'Research Institute of Radio Engineering Measurements' joint-stock company after investigating the influence of radio-frequency EM radiation on the dynamics of pathological states in test animals with regard to RF EMR modes medically proven at the neurology and neurosurgery department. The MRWTA comprises the following: a carrier oscillator (generating, controlling and monitoring unit (GCMU)); a power amplifier; a square pulses sequencer; a power supply; a radiator with a stand. The EM radiation of the apparatus is a nonspecific adaptogenic factor causing optimized microcirculation and cell-membrane homeostasis for the conditions of initial cerebral ischemia. The new paradigm shift has resulted in tremendous social, economic and cultural impact on our society. Through its half-century of progress, microwave ovens, the most significant by-product of microwave technology, have revolutionized the food industry, creating a paradigm that has completely changed our life styles. Microwave technology finds its ways into numerous military applications. The new emerging technologies in microwaves have altered the future war outlook. The high power microwave technology used in developing intelligent and sophisticated modern weapon systems and radar systems has created tremendous advantages for the war. The paradigm in other industries such as telecommunications, IT, chemistry and many more is far-reaching beyond our perception.
