The author has revealed that its correct implementation depends on the adequate use of relevant terms and concepts. To solve a problem, it must be coherent and scientifically verified. Researchers use cultural-anthropological, civilizational, institutional, and criterion-complex approaches as a methodological basis for identifying certain stages of certain educational phenomena formation. The study of the strengths and weaknesses of the educational theory and practice of the past makes it possible to determine the way of reforming the vocational training of officers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. \u0000Legal education is an essential component of the training of personnel whose tasks include the protection of the sovereignty of the state. The latter is a purposeful, orderly, and standardized process, as well as the result of mastering systematic knowledge of those who learn, the formation of skills and abilities of adequate legally significant behavior, and instilling a high legal culture and legal awareness. \u0000The formation of scientific ideas about the subject of research requires substantiation of the main stages of development of legal education of officers in higher military educational institutions of Ukraine (mid XX – early XXI century) and their essential characteristics. \u0000Taking into account the influence of ideological, political, legal, and geopolitical factors, based on the dates of adoption of regulations determining the activities of universities and their legal education in the study period, as well as content and operational (forms, methods) components of the pedagogical process, three main stages its development. The first stage (1943–1975) included the formation of Soviet legal education in the higher military school of Ukraine. The second stage (1975–1991) took in the establishment of Soviet legal education in the domestic higher military school. The third stage (1991-2015) was marked by the development of legal education in the higher military school of Ukraine, in terms of its reform and integration into the national education system. \u0000It is determined that the first stage is characterized by the lack of specific disciplines for cadets to acquire legal competencies; its implementation within political classes and advocacy activities; focuses on clarifying the rules for violation of which there is legal liability, as well as crime prevention and maintenance of discipline; the predominance of verbal and visual methods in teaching. The second stage shows the active development of pedagogical theory and practice of legal education in the Soviet higher military school. It also stands out with strengthening the legal training of future officers, which was carried out within a specific subject in traditional forms - training sessions (lectures, practical), independent work; expanding the use of practical teaching methods;

The theoretical aspects of project management as a technology of education transformation are considered. The relevance of using project management in the course of the selected category of specialist training is substantiated. The main advantages of the project approach as a methodological basis for the transformation of professional education, which allows establishing a balance between academic knowledge and practical skills of higher education graduates, have been studied. \u0000«Project management» in education is interpreted as a managerial activity of a teacher-manager, aimed at creating favorable conditions for the development and implementation of projects as a specific professional activity oriented toward a short-term goal. Social and cultural design is considered an innovative, creative activity of future teachers of professional education, aimed at identifying the causes of socio-cultural problems, analyzing the actual state of the object, and developing ways and means of achieving the project goal. The key indicators of fluency in project management methods are determined as follows: knowledge of the principles and methods of project management (planning, organization, drawing up execution schedules, control over the implementation of project stages, management of progress to achieve the goal, tracking results); experience in the field of management, namely the application of management skills in creating a team and its activities to achieve the organization goals, taking into account specific conditions. \u0000Conclusions have been made that the specified technology provides positive dynamics for the levels of professional competence of higher education seekers, the head of the educational program, and the head of the educational institution. It gives grounds for the assertion that the success and competitiveness of the educational institution can be ensured by using project management methods in the course of training future masters of professional education. This approach will contribute to the innovative development of educational institutions in a constantly changing educational environment.

The prerequisites for the emergence of problem-based learning in order to develop heuristic skills in the process of solving problem situations are analyzed. These situations are both a practical and theoretical-cognitive nature. They activate education seekers’ knowledge, analytical skills, and scientific searches for models that would ensure critical, productive thinking and change the motivation of cognitive activity with the dominance of cognitive-motivational (intellectual) motives. A comparative and definitive analysis of the concept of problem-based learning is done. Scientists define it from different positions, namely as a new type of learning, a teaching method, and a principle of education. \u0000It is emphasized that problem-based learning is based on problematic situations. They arise in the following conditions: if students do not know how to solve a problem; if students can not answer the question; if students explain a particular fact; if it is necessary to use previously acquired theoretical knowledge in practice; if there are contradictions between the theoretical possibility of solving the problem and the practical impossibility of using this particular method; if there is a result of the contradiction between the practically achieved material and the lack of knowledge for theoretical justification. \u0000It has been found that the concept of problem-based learning has gained recognition among scholars from Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, and some other countries. They have made a significant contribution to the development of the theory and practice of implementing problem-based learning, interpreting the understanding of the peculiarities of problem-solving in the lesson in different ways, and as well as the direct influence of the problem situation on the cognitive activity and psychological state of the individual. In turn, it should be noted that most well-known didactic theorists’ statements are based on studies of the impact of problem-based learning on schoolchildren. There are not enough studies on the creation of pedagogical conditions necessary for the general development and future professional activity of students of vocational education, as well as models of the formation of readiness for problem-based learning. Therefore, this topic requires further research and study.

It is proved that environmental knowledge has a general cultural value. It is because the level of their formation depends on ecological worldview development, and hence the prospects for human survival. It is determined that studying Geography allows developing the basics of the strategy of preserving the living environment of mankind. The formation of pupils’ environmental knowledge as a component of ecological competence is essential for changes the individual’s consciousness and behavior, the harmonization of relations in the system ‘society-nature’. Accordingly, the geographical aspects of environmental knowledge are characterized by those that consist primarily in their space (chorological paradigm) and relationships with human society (paradigm of durable-sustainable, balanced development). Ecological competence refers to the integral development of personality, which combines normative, cognitive, emotional-motivational, and practical components, and provides the ability to identify, understand, and evaluate modern processes aimed at ensuring ecological balance and rational use of nature. The most favorable period for the formation of such competence is definitely the middle school age. Analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the issue allowed identifying personal, cognitive, and activity components of ecological competence. Scientific approaches to develop its theoretical provisions are scientific, systemic, value, normative, and personal activity approaches. It is proved that environmental competence, as a component of ecological competence, is inherently integrative. Its core is formed while teaching school subjects related to the Natural Science educational field and as the basis of ecological culture permeates the content of other school subjects.

The world’s leading trends in the context of providing comprehensive, equitable, and quality technology education as one of the leading goals of sustainable development, approved by the United Nations, are considered. \u0000The structure of technology education in Germany and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is described; features of technology education integration in France are considered. The importance of technological literacy and technological competence for the development of modern education, in general, is substantiated. \u0000The experience of such economically developed countries as Germany, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, France, and others shows that professional training for work in various fields is carried out today with the help of various educational disciplines. The content of these disciplines is a synthesis of new knowledge about nature, technology, and human activity in all spheres of life. Different terms of technology education are considered as synonyms of one universal goal of labour training by the world scientific and pedagogical community. It is the formation of students’ technological literacy through the development of knowledge and understanding of technology, developing technical skills, and understanding the links between technology and society. The main purpose of primary pupils’ technology education in these countries is the formation of technological literacy and technological competence. \u0000A characteristic trend of the studied countries is that the previously existing labor training in school, based only on the study of materials, tools, and technological processes of materials processing, is considered insufficient and outdated. Thus, the educational process in economically developed countries means primarily students who study changes in technology, and knowledge in this area should be flexible and provide a wide range of applications.
