Twenty students from the University of Okara were selected and interviewed through semi-structured interviews. The obtained data were analyzed through thematic analysis to reach the findings of the research. Results showed that university students are somehow lacking civic education or training by the institution. It is all due to the minimal provision of awareness to students about the civic sense and makes them understand their role as productive members of a society, which is provided by the family, instructors, and institutes. In light of the findings of this study, this study suggested that there is a dire need for awareness about civic sense and social morals among university students, along with setting up incentives to make students law-abiding citizens.","PeriodicalId":129253,"journal":{"name":"Global Educational Studies Review","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133919959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A phenomenological study design was adopted to capture the experiences of the teachers and students. The findings indicated that peer review enhances students' understanding of curricular tasks, ability to review their own work, and ability to provide constructive feedback to others. While peer review improves one's reasoning, writing, and communication skills, in contrast, students also experience negative behaviors during peer reviewing tasks such as lack of attention related to process, biasedness, favoritism, a lack of patience, and improper language usage. University postgraduate students must be trained in peer review training because it enhances their analysis capabilities and productiveness and promotes academic integrity and ethics among students, while teachers can benefit from enhanced teaching quality.","PeriodicalId":129253,"journal":{"name":"Global Educational Studies Review","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116739860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The perception of the teachers plays a vital role and usually influences their own practices. Therefore, studying the perception of the teachers can be helpful in improving the quality of education. The current study, therefore, aims at studying the perception of primary teachers of private schools in Lahore about their assessment-related practices. 250 teachers across Lahore were conveniently selected as the participants of the study. A questionnaire comprising 36 items was dispersed electronically owing to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. However, teachers were approached physically whenever possible. The findings show the examination is perceived as a tool to bring improvement both in students learning and teaching practices. It is, therefore, high time to train teachers to effectively use different modes of assessments to come at par with global standards of quality assessment systems.","PeriodicalId":129253,"journal":{"name":"Global Educational Studies Review","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116775151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, a sample of (n=100) first class cricketers was recruited from the list obtained from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Lahore, Pakistan. The required data were collected with the help of self-structured questionnaires. The collected data were accordingly processed through Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS), version 26. Statistical tests including Pearson correlation, linear regression and t-Test were accordingly applied. The results revealed that available facilities in the shape of grounds, coaches, and financial support significantly correlated with paucity of national level cricketers (.777**, .659**, .561** & p=.000). Likewise, participants having different age group and experience in sport reported no statistically significant difference in existing infrastructural sports facilities and paucity of Cricket (p > .05). Based on these, it has been concluded that the prevailing facilities for first class cricketers needs much more consideration on the part of relevant bodies. It is suggested that the federal and provincial governments may provide all the necessities, especially for the first class cricket players of Baluchistan.","PeriodicalId":129253,"journal":{"name":"Global Educational Studies Review","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115453101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
