A review of the literature on the subject and analysis of the results of the survey were conducted to this end. The first part of the article contains the theoretical characteristics of the relationship between organizational learning and employability. The second part discusses the method and the research sample as well as the results of a diagnostic survey carried out among 184 employees of various organizations from Poland. The Computer–Assisted Web Interview (CAWI) was utilized for this purpose. The statistical analysis of the study results was conducted using the IBM Predictive Solution 5 package. Changes in the structure and management of human resources in Poland are part of the global process of economic development that has been taking place worldwide over the past few decades (especially in Central and Eastern Europe). The Polish steel industry underwent repair restructuring during the transformation of the Polish economy (1990s). A restructuring process was implemented extensively. It encompassed ownership and property, products and technology, and employment and management. Upon the conclusion of recovery restructuring, steel companies began to build a competitive advantage on the market. Human resources are one aspect of competitiveness. Since the beginning of the transition in the Polish economy, efforts to rationalize employment as well as changes in human resource structures and management demonstrate the increasing adaptability of Polish companies with respect to world market competition requirements. The publication characterizes changes in structures and human resource management in the Polish steel industry. The choice of scope of analysis was dictated by the large scale of changes implemented as well as knowledge concerning employment restructuring in the Polish steel industry as held by the author of the publication.\u0000\u0000

However, there are still relatively few studies on the relationships between motivation and burnout. Today’s competitive market contributes to increasingly strong rivalry both between organizations and between employees. The latter are expected to display increasing effort, engagement, and sustained motivation aimed at achieving set goals. The conducted study, covering employees of corporate organizations (N=97), confirmed the protective role of intrinsic motivation as understood by SDT. Its nature, in this case, is that of a resource. Research has also shown that the factor that is most conducive to burnout is amotivation, which remains moderately strongly related to all the dimensions of burnout. Regression analysis has confirmed that only motivational variables are significant predictors of burnout, while neither demographic nor organizational variables predict it\u0000\u0000

Based on the study of literature that is available on the subject as well as empirical research, an attempt was made to identify basic expectations and attitudes towards work as exhibited by the examined graduates and to present recommendations for human resource management practitioners. The research was conducted in 2017 using the diagnostic survey method with an online survey questionnaire that was made available at the University of Economics. The results of the study indicate that there exist identifiable differences in approach to building a professional career that depend on generation association. Moreover, building what is known as cross–generational solidarity should be pursued in teams diversified in terms of age. This should be done with reference to various areas of the professional career—something respondents felt was missing. Representatives of the older generations, who hold valuable knowledge as well as experience and worldly wisdom, should act as mentors for younger coworkers. And vice versa, younger generations might assist their older colleagues in filling their competence gap in new technologies.
