However, it is crucial to understand which defects may be diagnosed with\u0000great certainty during pregnancy and which ones can only be discovered partially or not at all before giving birth. Our study aims\u0000to evaluate the role of ultrasound in detecting congenital fetal anomalies and to nd out the most common system involved / most\u0000common fetal anomaly encountered in our institution. The clinical\u0000manifestation of disease includes primary amenorrhoea, failure to develop secondary sexual characters\u0000and also infertility. Here we are reporting a case of 29 year old phenotypic female who presented with primary infertility with 46,\u0000XX karyotype with hypoplastic uterus and streak ovaries (on imaging), with high gonadotropins level and low estradiol. After\u0000evaluation of the couple and proper counseling plan was made to go for cyclic hormone therapy for 3 months followed by donor\u0000oocyte and husband sperm IVF due to hypoplastic uterus with gonadal dysgenesis. 3 Day 3 embryos were transferred after\u0000hormonal therapy of 3 months. The route of administration\u0000(transforaminal, caudal or translaminar) were chosen on basis of pattern of radiculopathy and mri ndings of disc herniation.\u0000Methods:- This study included 131 patients who presented with low back pain and radiculopathy due to lumbar disc\u0000herniation(at levels of L4–L5 or L5–S1) diagnosed clinically and conrmed by means of MRI. 4 patients were lost to follow up\u0000remainig 127 patients at nal follow up.(127 patients)All patients were given fair trial of conservative treatment with drugs and\u0000physiotherapy. All patients were assessed at presentation and after starting the treatment at the second week and then third\u0000and sixth month using the visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain and the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) for function status.\u0000Results:- In the transforaminal group (45 patients), there was a statistically signicant improvement in the ODI scores from\u0000before the injection (ODI mean 62.4) to 2 weeks after the injection (ODI mean 24.4, P < 0.01), and upon follow-up at 3 months.\u0000(ODI mean 20.8, P < 0.01). 21 patients (16.5%) required 1 or 2 repeated injections, 4 (3.1%) patients underwent surgery. This alteration leads to the formation of sickle-shaped red blood\u0000cells, impeding their passage through blood vessels and causing blockages, ischemia, and pain. Additionally, individuals with\u0000SCD are more susceptible to infections and vascular complications. Acute pain crises are a common manifestation of SCD,\u0000triggered by blood vessel obstruction. These crises may necessitate immediate medical intervention to alleviate pain and\u0000prevent complications. Long-term complications include chronic organ damage, such as kidney failure, lung injuries, and\u0000cardiac disorders. COVID-19 has raised additional concerns, as SCD patients may face an elevated risk of severe\u0000complications. Hydroxyurea and blood transfusions are therapeutic strategies used to reduce pain crises and prevent\u0000complications. Social\u0000support inuences health-related behaviors and can play an important role in adaptation to pregnancy. This study aimed to\u0000assess and compare the perceived mental health and social support during pregnancy among primigravida and multipara\u0000mothers. Materials: This was a ccomparative study. The accessible sample was recruited from pregnant mothers attending\u0000OPD at community health centre in Kurali, Punjab. Total 300 pregnant mothers were selected. Out of these, 150 mothers were\u0000primigravida and 150 were multipara mothers who met the inclusion criteria. Perceived mental health was assessed using the\u0000kessler distress scale (k-10) and perceived social support was assessed by multidimensional scale. Results: Comparing the\u0000perceived mental health and social support scores between pregnant mothers in primigravida and multipara group, it was\u0000found that multiparas had more psychological distress and less social support as compared to primigravidas. There was a\u0000negative statistically signicant correlations observed between perceived mental health and perceived social support of\u0000primigravida and multipara mothers (r = -.454 and p= 0.00* and r =-.526 and 0.00*) respectively. Conclusion: The ndings\u0000from this study suggested that multipara mothers during pregnancy are vulnerable for mental illness and perceiving scarcity of\u0000social support as compared to primigravida mothers. Hence, it was suggested that high social support lowers the risk of mental\u0000illness.
