The feeding network which is designed based on T-junction power divider is deployed on an FR4 Epoxy dielectric substrate with the thickness of 1.6mm and the dimension of 96.4mm × 600mm. The mechanism of phase shifter for each port is carried out by using a variable capacitor (varactor) diode by controlling its reverse bias voltage through a microcontroller. The distributed phase shifter is located at a separated 50Ω transmission line of each port. By using a buck converter equipped with optocoupler to isolate a control signal obtained from microcontroller, the programmable phase shifter is optimized to shift the phase of each port independently. From the characterization result, it demonstrates that the phase of each output port at the same frequency tends to have similar value each other with the average value of 94.89°.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124009557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This method usually applied for tracking and counting the vehicles in Intelligent Transport System (ITS). In this context, Mixture Model chosen is Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) method, due to its powerful features. Unlike many motion tracking-based methods, GMM achieves satisfactory performance from its ability to handle background subtractions. However, its implementation in detecting vehicle still have unsatisfactory result in accuration and identifying object, mainly under heavy traffic condition. The problem turn to poor accuration of object detection. Therefore, in this paper, we propose optimization of GMM performance by adjusting the Region of Interest (ROI). The propose technique to completing the report by compare the result before and after experiment in separate condition. The result show that this approach leads to improvement in tracking and counting average of accuration of motorcycle by 6.97% and car by 39.04% in several condition. Our approach to modified the method has been experimentally validated showing better segmentation performance, and this is an unbiased approach for assessing the practical usefulness of object detection methods for vehicle under heavy traffic condition on the highway.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126851303","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main aim of this method is to find out the best traffic light signal parameters, which can solve the traffic congestion on the real road network. The traffic light signal parameters that are optimized are offset, cycles, and splits time of each node of the considered road networks. The considered real road network consists of four junctions/nodes having different time signaling models. In this research, the PSO is attached in Aimsun 6.1 simulator via application interface (API) that is provided by Aimsun 6.1 simulator. The PSO algorithm creates n-particles of traffic light signal parameters and sends them to the Aimsun 6.1 simulator to perform the simulation. The output of simulation will be used to perform the particles evaluation and updating. The experimental results show that the proposed method provides better performance than base-line method (multi-element Genetics Algorithms (ME-GA) based optimization method) which can increase the real and base-line percentage of vehicle flow by about 15.76% and 4.13% of that of real and MEGA, respectively. In addition, the PSO is faster to achieve convergence than base-line method for considered network.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129045327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This gland actively produces two kinds of hormone, namely thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). These hormones aim to produce protein, govern body metabolism, as well as to control body temperature circulation. Either excess or lack of these hormones will disturb those activities. The condition of excessive hormones is called hyperthyroid while the condition of lacking hormones is called hypothyroid. The major factor that influences the volume of the produced T3 and T4 hormones is iodine, because it is the main building-block substance of those hormones. The imbalance condition of this substance prevents thyroid to work properly. To identify the type of thyroid (normal, hypothyroid, hyperthyroid), WEKA (Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis) machine learning software is utilized. The thyroid dataset is taken from UCI (University of California - Irvine) machine learning repository as many as 215 instances. The test result shows that among six different methods available in WEKA, MLP (Multilayer Perceptron) method gives result with the highest accuracy, up to 96.74%, while BPA (Back Propagation Algorithm) methods produces result with the lowest accuracy, of 69.77%.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"270 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134609584","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The watermark is a binary logo of the same size with the host image. Before embedding, the watermark is encrypted by XOR-ing it with a chaotic image. The chaotic image is generated by using Logistic Map. Next, the least significant bits (LSB) of pixels is used for embedding where the LSB's of the host image are replaced by the encrypted watermark. Authentication is done by extracting the watermark from the watermarked image and then compare it with the original watermark. If found the extracted watermark fragile then it indicates that the image has been altered. Various typical attacks to the watermarked images are carried out to assess the performance of the proposed method. Experiment results show that the proposed method can detect image integrity due to the attacks. For increasing security, the chaos system give sensitivity aspect so that the method is secure from the exhaustive attack.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122464044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because of its human amiability, ethanol has become a perfect solvent for organic matter with varying concentration levels for different purposes. Nevertheless, ethanol has a unique character that makes it evaporates at a level of temperature, which is called flash point. Storing ethanol above its flash point would reduce its concentration as well as its functionality. In this research, a device has been developed to control ethanol concentration in water. The concentration of ethanol is measured based on the signal of a square wave oscillator connected to a cylindrical aluminum capacitive sensor. Thus, the output frequency is imputed to a microcontroller programmed as a PID controller to produce the control signals that are used to operate two peristaltic pumps connected to two reservoirs containing non-denatured ethanol and distilled water, respectively. Magnetic stirrer is added to improve the dilution process. Overall, the designed sensor is able to identify various levels of ethanol concentration from 0.0-0.9 m3/m3. Furthermore, the implemented controller is capable to maintain the volumetric concentration of ethanol with set point ranging from 0.0-0.5 m3/m3 within 90% of success rate.","PeriodicalId":124449,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125371586","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
